Well that has been hard work. I don't need to tell you folks because you know it. But it's because of you folks and your willingness to share your experiences that I have managed to soldier on. For those of you in front of me, thank you for pulling me along in your wake. For those of you behind me, keep on you can do it. For those who may have fallen by the way
don't despair, regroup and give it another go when you are ready. There's still a long way to go, but I am amazed at my achievement this time and really want to make it work.......
You are all my heros,
Thank you XXXXXXXXXXX

You have passed the worst stage (or socI was told by ex smokers the last time Instopped smoking) and I think they are right
Loving the photo.
Are you finding the smell of them disgusting yet? I smelt on yesterday and thought it smelt wonderful but soon forgot about that smell and it didnt bother me (think I might have achieved something although I would not have wanted to be near my granny today or Id have pinched one!!!!!
Keeping busy helps doesnt it?
I hope you are proud of yourself coz we are
Your health and bank balance are improving day by day, you may nit be noticing it yet but it is
Hey Sarah, 10 months in and I still like the smell of one being lit up - don't know if that will ever go away. (Don't like the other smells related to it though - mind you, I didn't even before I quit.)
I'm still using NRT lozenges. Never used them before but this time they are really making a difference. The problem is, I am still feeding my body with nicotine. The positive side is, I am no longer reaching for my baccy before I go some place, I no longer get in the car and feel the need to roll one up etc. So the habitual side of smoking is starting to go away. I will then have to wean myself off the NRT but feel this is quite achievable. An odd thing though, I've had a couple of dreams lately and I have been smoking in my dreams.
There isnt much nicotine in them so they will be easy to wean off
Im still using my e-cig and I will be 7 weeks tomorrow
Im on the lower dose of nicotine, the next step is NO nicotine, Im hoping by then I should be ok and able to manage, Im also still taking my champix, I have one more trip to the doctor for tablets after this lot (2weeks left of this lot of tablets) then that is me done with them, that is kind of scaring me to be honest.......
Funny you talk about the smell of smoke... very attractive in a nico addiction kinda way! Apparently rumour has it, it will pass.... My best mate (we both started smoking with a can of lager at Hereford bus station at the age of 15!) well, she gave up 6 years ago when she fell pregnant for the first time... Years later, and apparently it takes some time, she can honestly say she hates the smell of smoke....
I remember an x teenage boyfriends x smoking mother ... She was the worst....
You will be getting stronger every day. I was on a train yesterday and a young woman sat next to me and the smell of smoke was totally overpowering. Thankfully I didn't like it at all. I am beginning to feel a bit sick on the champix and have cut them back to 1 a day. Was thinking of not having one today and maybe going to the docs for a lower dose. I don't want to just stop coz I have never done as well before and don't want to slip up.
