Its a lovely day here, sun is shining and very little wind

Cravings are good and controlable which is fantastic....

Just going to head to work and the got loads of housework to do (cant do washing coz it smells of s*** outside)

Got a busy few hours after school of running kids round to football, netball etc.

Got a good lot of my sky+ stuff caught up on this morning

So all in all its a good day so far.

whats the plans for exercising today then? When do you get to show your PT your food diary? It will be quite interesting to see how its going for you and if you notice a difference. I always found when keeping a food diary (when getting a weight loss) I would try and eat similar the following week!

Sinfree, how are you feeling today? Are you still taking your Champix? Remember that with any kind of therapy, they will only take the edge off the cravings. The trick is to stay positive

Sarah, sounds like you have quite a jampacked busy day today but it's got off to a good start (apart from the smell!). Glad to hear that your cravings are easier to deal with

Pete, hope theres some good news about your mum today and you know whats happening with her treatment

Sue, hope you had a well rested night and got a cracking nights sleep in

Jan,I can't believe the similarities between Sue and yurself! !when do you have your interview? Sounds like a fulfilling job

Good Afternoon all well in on the hampshire coast we have another spring like day,I was amazed to see my dads bulbs all coming into flower..beautiful. Im doing his washing as his machine decided to break down today.

Off to do my little job I got for a lady near by who brings her hubby home twice a week ,I pick her and him up in the morning and then we run him back around 5..I love it and wish I had two more,i wouldnt need another job

Sarah glad to hear craves behaving mine are better today(Ill whisper that so as not to put mockers on it)

Andi food diary sounds interesting..if you're doing weight /exefcise tracking there is a great FREE site called Sparkpeople.com..excellant place. Anyway hope it all goes well for you .

Sue..today was going to be a peaceful day ..BUT ..hahaha ...I am worried taking on jobs as although i could do with the money it means i wont be around to help my son with his son on the saturdays he works..and I feel bad about that,so contemplating my options.Still trying to decide on an oven ..think ill close my eyes and pick one lol.

That's a shame that you have to think about the money you need or looking after your Grandson, I don't have my grandson yet but I know how you feel, I've had to make choices as well, between money and helping other family members, and now i'm struggling with my health so don't know how much longer i'll be able to do it all

Close your eyes and pick one, that's what i'd do actually it's the only way i could do it

Nunn, Scotland aint that great to be honest....... Orkney is the biggest hole (but a lot of people love it for some reason.... I met a young couple who came here on their honeymoon!!!!, to sayI was gobsmacked would be a understatment!)

Hi Sarah, Carnoustie is not too far from me, i have relatives who live there as well Scotland is great Sarah, you must have seen all the wrong places It could be that Orkney is not a good place to live but a lot of people like it for a holiday, outdoor types

Glad everyone is having a good day. I was up North (Blair Atholl) for a few days and am now back home (Stirling) noticed a few scottish non smokers here, my my the air will be getting clearer in Scotland. Managed quite well on my few ays away although I think I just eat constantly now. Still on 2 Champix per day but hoping I can stay as strong when I come off them.

Hello, everyone sounds like you've been happy today. It is absolutely freezing here at the moment, it was rubbish yesterday and freezing cold again today, though we did have a little sunshine this morning. I had a bad day yesterday, really bad tempered all day, though I didn't really want to smoke. I honestly can't make out whether the Champix causes black moods or it's the cold that is just really getting to me. I was fine during our brief respite of nice weather and I've been fine today even though I was at work. I was nice and warm at work though, unlike my poor hubby who I spoke to at lunch time who was really cold being stuck at home.

Precious little in the way of sleep last night. We got a new mattress last Thursday - bad choice (I knew it would be wrong choice but hubby always has to go for the cheapest), its like sleeping on a flaming rock, now he's moaning saying its too hard. Well I did point out to him at the time of purchase that it was an orthopaedic mattress with a firmness factor of 5 (extra firm) but he said oh, it will be OK, well its not and now we're stuck with it. Grrrrr. I ended up moving to the spare room in the middle of the night to our sofa bed and lovely cuddly sleeping bag, this bed is very soft and saggy, was like sleeping in a little nest though it was by this time 4.30 and I had to get up at 6.30am. Thinking about it though, if I still smoked I would have got through at least 2 ciggies in the process of not sleeping and would have had to stand in the freezing cold garage in my PJ's so that was something I didn't miss.

Hi Sue, finished work early and went to see my mam, got thier and my elder sister was their too she said they have done the endoscopy and found one little ulcer, so they tuck a sample for biop, but they didnt think it was anything much

Aww, that's good that its been done now. Bet she's glad thats out of the way, I think it can be very uncomfortable, though my husband had it done years ago and he didn't remember any of it. Is she able to eat anything now?

Thought I might go for an individual identity, so please meet my puppy, now very bosy 12 month old boarder collie... her name is Bella too!! Picture quite apt, given how I've felt over the last 4 days... she was very cross with me as I'd just spoilt the fun of digging up half the garden!

Well I'm going now, need to iron my clothes for tomoz and get ready for bed , talking of beds, got to sort that out too. Hubby says we should try putting spare quilt on top of mattress to see if it softens it and if it does get a mattress topper. In which case we might as well have got a dearer bed. Men, why do they not just listen to women in the first place, we're always right! Hope your mum's tests come out OK Pete and that you have a stress free day tomorrow Sarah Night everyone.

Would it not be possible to take it back? How can you know what it's like til you've slept on it? My mattress is one of those pocket sprung ones - it's sooooooooo comfortable! Try a phone call in the morning - must be something under the Sale of goods act.

We didn't end up discussing it that much after all - he thinks it's great how I've done it though. He gave me some sheets from a friend of his who's studying and lecturing on nutrition but I personally think it's mumbo-jumbo. He advocates cutting wheat , gluten, dairy etc from one's diet. My view is if I'm not coeliac, dairy-intolerant, etc then I don't believe these things should be cut from one's diet. I've always believed about just having everything in moderation.
