When you get a craving think to yourself that little white stick isnt going to beat me. Grab a snack or make yourself busy, come on to this site and moan and shout , we all do it.
You will get there in the end.

It's great to see you Jillygirl, hope your doing great I love you picture today, and so true, i love my house since i stopped smoking, it has a lovely clean smell, and when i light a candle i can smell the fragrance and my computer is much better, although it still needs a kick sometimes, that's it's age though

I don't know what was wrong with me yesterday, I slept well but felt really really tired and ended up with a headache. I slept well again last night and feeling much better today.
I went to the dentist yesterday just for a checkup. He is always going on at me to give up smoking and how it causes gum disease which leads to receeding gums. He advises me to give up smoking all the time. Yesterday he asked me if I was still smoking and I very proudly told him I had given up. He said 'right' After all the moaning he has done about it in the past I was at least expecting a well done. I remember someone on here saying that their dentist gave them a free polish as a well done. I don't suppose I need other peoples praise, I'm doing this for me but it would have been nice and I think it spurs you on.
On yesterday's blog, someone said I probably wouldn't like bananas because they're fruit, well I don't mind bananas, I like banoffi (not sure how to spell that) pie so yes I would like some if you are having some today Sue and I love banana splits
I was surprised this morning that I didn't have to scrape my windscreen before I came into work for a change. I think I will go to the supermarket at lunchtime to stock up on a few things as the snow is supposed to be pretty bad here tomorrow. It's great that I don't have to make sure I have enough cigarettes in
Hi Kaz, y'know I think dentists just chant stop smoking parrot fashion and I wonder whether it really does make that much difference to your teeth and gums, after all you'd think he'd be able to tell on checking your teeth without having to ask. Well done to you anyway and am sure your teeth are shiny and white and are quietly thanking you themselves. When I next go to the dentist and he asks me if I smoke I'm going to say well check my teeth first and you tell me and see what he says. Anyway I don't care now, it might be the reason why I chose to stop smoking but am going to carry on stopping whether it makes a difference to my gums or not.
That has made me feel . You are so right, I should have told him to tell me and it might or might not make any difference as you say. I will carry on stopping as well, I don't need his praise and there are so many other reasons to stay stopped xx

I've just been to Asda to get a few bits and bobs and it was packed, people were were piling their trollies up with milk and when went to get a loaf of bread there was hardly any left Makes me laugh how people panic. I didn't go to stock up just to get stuff I needed before anyone says I was doing the same thing

I went to see the Doc this Morning, he checked my blood pressure and things and ok ed it, so he wrote a prescription for it, ha ha they hadnt got the starter pack in stock
So I had to finish work early tonight to go and collect it, but have got it now and am the same as you I will take the first one tomorrow Morning - eek

That's good. You're a more patient person than me, that really is the last straw when you go with your prescription and they haven't got any!! Still you've got them now, after the trials you've had trying to get hold of the stuff, the giving up should be a doddle. I see somewhere else you set your quit date for next Saturday. I could set that day too, its as good a day as any. I'm still only smoking 2 cigarettes a day and lozenges the rest of the time. I found out today there's a couple of people at work have stopped smoking this week although I don't think they're using anything at all to help them stop.

That tells me that you have beat it Jillygirl although you've still got to have chemo and you may need a wig well I think your Hubby should have 1 as well
That's the one thing I hate about snow Mad, every time I fall now I break something, a couple of years ago it was both my wrists at the same time, that was fun but i don't want to do it again
Looks like everyone has gone to bed now. For those taking Champix tomorrow don't forget to have something to eat before you take your first tablet as it stops any nausea even if it's only a biscuit.
It's snowing quite a lot here now and sticking. I've just driven home in it and it was quite exciting, the roads are ok up to now. I don't like walking in snow, it's different if it's nice fresh snow but once it's on the pavements getting compacted or going slushy I hate it.
That must have been agony Sue, breaking both wrists at the same time ... double ouch. Mad there is no wonder you don't want to go out in the snow, what you've had done sounds very painful, excruciating in fact. You both take care out there tomorrow.
My mum went to Morrisons today and she said it was packed in there as well
