His & Hers
Hey Hey Hey!
Happy Sunday everybody
Hey John, it's good that you are keeping yourself focussed. Given time, you'll find that stopping smoking will get easier and that you will naturally move onto the next level of staying stopped without even noticing. You are doing ever so well and as well as having all of us here being proud of you, you know that your Linda will also definitely be proud too
Jillygirl, I hope you enjoyed your lovely fresh walk. It will also help to gently exercise your lungs and build up their strength which will put you in a much better position for the next few weeks of your treatment. I'm just so glad that you've stopped smoking. You're a true winner
Pete, we could do with you here cooking up a lovely roast. My stepson was cooking for us today but just called with a terrible hangover so we've rescheduled. We'll rustle something up between us, I'm sure we'll not starve! Did you do much pottering around you garden?
It's absolutely freezing here and I'm just debating whether to start my first session of C25K... 5 minute warm up, 60seconds jogging, 90 seconds brisk walking etc... 30 minutes in total.. Sounds easy enough so how come my excuses are far stronger than my reasons....? Hmmmm... Shall give myself one of Andi's pep talks and see what happens!! Will report back in a bit
Good afternoon one and all.
Well the sun's just about to sink behind the houses and I think I made the most of the day. Sorry Pete, didn't do any gardening - given up on that idea as everything's just too sodden.
After chipping my way into the car this morning I went to try out the gym and had a good session there. I started on a static bike which went ok so will try spinning later in the week. Also tried rowing and think I might be able to manage that next time for my warm-up. I can't believe how quickly my ankle seems to be healing - but I'm still going easy on it and not pushing it too hard. Next I went out for a nice walk with my friends and dog. Had to go to Comet first to see if they had the tv they wanted - Bedlam in there! After lunch thought I'd try my bike so had a gentle half-hour on that on the flat. What did I learn from that? 1) I can't stand up on the pedals yet. 2) Even though the thermometer says 13degrees plus, it's still bloomin cold, even when there's no wind. 3) In future I'll have to wear gloves and something on my ears - got to work that one out yet with a helmet. 4) (This one's for Emjay) It's probably warmer running! Hahaha!
C25K Week 1 - Day 1.... Done Enjoyed it a lot more than the power walk I tried a couple of weeks ago. Seemed quite easy at first but then I did feel it quite a bit once I got into it. The dog enjoyed it too!
Andi, I would love to be as motivated as you are to exercise. Oh to be bitten by the exercise bug
Love the pictures ladies
Abso-blooming-lutely fantastic!!! WOOHOO!!! Makes you feel good moving yourself doesn't it? Well done you - you'll get there before me now. Mind you, you have got age on your side.
Aup Emjay, you getting double time for this gal as on a Sunday
So your pup enjoyed it then so can you toooooo you've done the hardest bit, gal which is, '' start '' and i tell you Emjay that is the hardest bit, now then the next hurdle is to keep at it, but you do as much as you want, no more & no less, cus if you force yourself to much, you will endup hatting it so you do as much as you want, when you want
I'm just going by myself, as in the rowing machine
Good luck Emjay, you keep with it, maybe I will start running at the weekends eh
Hey Pete how far is it to your nearest Pub you could run there , perhaps crawl back.
Andi, there's only 15 years between us, that's nothing. You're still a young Whipper Snapper! Plus your fitness level are far greater than mine!
Hey John, your birds are well spoilt, it's nice to her how well you care or them they sound like they really are good company for you. Do they fly onto you or are they not that tame? :0)
Oh John I think that sounds good any good for cockatiels?
Aup John, as you say, ordinary bread isnt good for Amor & Vida, well it isnt that good for us either, because of the chemicals they put in it to keep erm call it long life bread
The times gone now, when you used to nip down to the local bakery everyday oooooooh the smell, just gorgeous, i can smell it now
Jillygirl, its about 4mins 35 seconds to my nearest pub, thats a quick march, erm never timed myself coming back cus i do 3 steps forward and 2 steps back
sounds more like the hokey cokey.
Am not allways like that Jillygirl, cus in the autumn i jump on the crunchy leaves,
Do you think i've got a problem
You! got a problem erm. Nah!
