Scientists claim the average smoker will lose 14 years of their life due to smoking.

Urea, a chemical compound that is a major component in urine, is used to add flavour to cigarettes.

Nicotine reaches the brain within 10 seconds after smoke is inhaled. It has been found in every part of the body and in breast milk.

Thanks Jillygirl, this certainly gets you thinking doesn't it? I know that the facts we have here in the UK are that cigarettes have over 4,000 chemicals in. At least 60 of them are carcinogenics (cancer causing).

I really must write up that blog about carbon monoxide again... I posted it a while ago and it got lost in transit. Not that you non-smokers are affected much by it now these days
