Hello everyone and welcome to our weekend chat. I hope you’re all doing well with your quits and staying positive.
In the first few days and weeks when we quit, it’s important to change our routine around to avoid some of the triggers for smoking. I was a coffee and cigarette person for many years and when I quit, I knew I couldn’t have a coffee without wanting a cig with it. So I found it easier to have something else first thing in the morning. I started making juices as cutting and chopping kept my hands busy and they tasted pretty good too.
After eating, I cleaned my teeth straight away so I wasn’t thinking about having a cigarette.
There can be many triggers but it’s always best to do something else instead of doing nothing. If we do nothing, it’s easy to dwell on wanting to smoke. So a distraction of any kind is always helpful.
The more we practice the better we get. We can all learn new behaviors so please be patient as it takes a bit of time and doesn’t happen overnight. But it will happen with determination and persistence.
If anyone has any good tips then we’d love to hear what worked for you and this can also help others. Sharing is caring 👍
Wishing you all a very happy smoke free and stress free Weekend🚭💪🤗💕☕️🍰☕️🧁xx
