Hello, this is now my 17th day smoke free :) Had to stop as I had a health scare whilst on holiday in America and was hospitalised for three days.......really frightened me.

So, I am checking this great site out daily and love the support by everyone who is also in the same position as me.

It is early days yet and getting through some of the days has been a challenge but I am determined to kick this habit once and for all.

Hi cycling2, Well done for your decision to quit👏 and of course for your 17 smoke free days.

Welcome to Quit Support.💙

It’s never easy to quit but it’s easier with a little support.💪

I'm sorry to hear about your health scare,I suppose you could consider it a wake up call. This site works because we all support each other.

Please read the pinned posts,📌 there is lots of information there. You will find the posts to the right or at the bottom of your screen depending which device you are using.

May I suggest you drink plenty of water💧💦 to flush out the toxins and keep yourself hydrated.

If you feel you need any more help please don’t hesitate to ask. There is always someone here.

May I remind you not to post any personal information.

So for the record, your quit date is 15/10/2019 just so that we can assign you a winners' badge and up-date our data base.

Good luck with your quit.🍀🚭xx

Hello Tubby54, thank you so much for your message. Indeed this was a wake up call for me.

I am a life long smoker and have tried to stop before, but this time I am determined; I cannot go through that again and more importantly, cannot put my family through the pain and worry. My quit day was 15th October and am doing reasonably well so far. :)
