Giving up the NRT

After the bad experience with the nicotine patches, feeling jittery and sick, I removed it half way through day one and decided to use only the inhalator. I only used that yesterday in the morning and after my evening meal. But it was the worst night sleep ever. I normally sleep through every night. Each time I got close to falling asleep it felt like my heart was missing a beat. Finally at 3am i got up took my pulse rate. It was normal but when I typed my symptoms into the nhs site it explained it could be due to anxiety, too much caffeine. Or TOO MUCH NICOTINE 🙄🤢🤯 day three and I’m ditching the nicotine replacement as I’ve never felt so bad. Here goes people cold turkey the rest of the way. And my run last night ...... the longest yet ❤️🏃🏽‍♀️❤️🏃🏽‍♀️❤️ breathing easy.

Hi Tayrm,I'm sorry you're having such a bumpy ride. NRT doesn't suit everybody.I quit cold turkey (without NRT)but only because at the time I didn't have enough information.I'm sure that you can do this you're being incredibly strong. One of our members is depending on popsicles, another is using a drinking straw cut in half, where there's a will there's a way.Running is brilliant for releasing dopamine(for happiness).Keep in touch.XXX
