7 months quit and still got hurdles to face yet

I've been stopped 7 months after 3 yrs of trying. I have been avoiding drinking as I know that will still be my downfall as I'm not 100% there yet and I'm going on hols with a smoker and drinker so this is going to be my first Magor challenge as I have drank twice in the 7 months and smoked on those occasions. But I'm not thinking about them like I once was

Hi Harrie-Carrie. Well done for your decision to quit👏 and of course for your 7 smoke free months.

Welcome to Quit Support.💙

It’s never easy to quit but it’s easier with a little support.💪

It's always a good idea to exclude something which we used to enjoy with a smoke, like coffee and drinking.

As one of our members said "wired together fire together". You seem to understand the problem so you won't slip up this time. Forewarned is forearmed!

Be proud of your 7 month quit, you worked hard for it and no-one or anything can stand in your way.

Please read the pinned posts,📌 there is lots of information there. You will find the posts to the right or at the bottom of your screen depending which device you are using.

May I suggest you drink plenty of water💧💦 to flush out the toxins and keep yourself hydrated.

If you feel you need any more help please don’t hesitate to ask. There is always someone here.

Please let us know the exact date of your quit so that we can assign you a winners' badge and add you to the wall of winners.

May I remind you not to post any personal information.

Good luck with your quit.🍀🚭xx

Welcome to Quit Support, Our lovely Tubby has given you some good advice.

You could ask your friends to not smoke directly in front of you. If you explain you have quit and dont want to start again.

Have a lovely day. xxx :)

Hi Harrie and welcome to Quit Support

Well done 7 months smoke free is a great achievement👍🏼

Being aware of the hurdles is half the battle so planning ahead to get through them will really help.

Holiday with a smoker and drinker is a triple threat so have a plan ready to put in action if you are tempted.

I remember my first smoke free holiday and I was only 8 weeks smoke free.

I was so determined not to smoke and although it wasn’t easy, I managed to stay smoke free. You can do this too. Traveling is so much better as a non smoker. Stay strong and enjoy your holiday🚭✅💪💪💪xx

Thank you so much for your reply. Sorry I've only just found it now. It's just over 10 months now I've been smoke free. I have fallen when drinking but that hasn't been often over the 10 months. That's my only hurdle now to overcome as the rest is now a breeze
