Hello Jack...... its good to hear from you, 17 months smoke🚭free is brilliant πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ well done!

I found when I quit smoking, all manner of ailments surfaced, that I guess were masked by smoking, but I’m no medical expert..... I ended up with coughs and colds, yet I had no time off work throughout my working life because of smoking..... hoping you feel better soon. πŸ˜€πŸ‘πŸš

Hey man, 17 months! Well well done, you definitely got this!

I honestly eperienced the exact opposite, I didn't get a single chest infection since I stopped smoking 2 years ago and before that I had them at least 2-3 times a year with high fever and lasting for weeks sometimes. In general, colds and flus are a lot rarer and milder now and I barely even break a fever, while I used to be sick all the time as a smoker.

I know that doesn't probably help you atm, just wanted to add my data record to your search for answers. Could it be that you are more active and outside or among people now than you used to be as a smoker? Did you gain weight? I know I did...but this could have a serious impact on your immune system as well (constant inflammation, especially due to refined carbs etc).
