I'm happy to report that I'm on my 10th day with no nicotine and that my sleeping habits have returned to the usual non restfull but all night long slumber.

Yeah. Now my battle is just with my never ending hunger. Weight gain 1.5Kgs this weekend... Yeah, some of it is water weight, but even so...

WOohoo!!!! 10 days smoke free is just awesome...you are doing brilliantly.

You can always work on the weight later😀😀🚭👍

I'm sorry too many people think that Way. No, I really can't work on it later. That is just the wrong Way of thinking. We cannot replace an addiction by another.

I really have to suck it up and be in pain for a while. I need to keep away from temptation and run the most I can.

Leaving nicotine for sugar or carbs is not a good replacement. And I really wouldn't be happy looking myself in the mirror and seeing all the fat coming back, that I worked so hard too lose.

Maybe I'm just the only one thinking like this, but isn't there anyone who stopped smoking without gaining weight?

I myself weigh less than what I did when I started my quit journey. For many, one thing at a time as it is common knowledge that your metabolism is faster when you smoke so you will, automatically gain weight as your metabolism returns to normal.

When I quit, I brought a pedometer and made sure I did 10,000 steps. Here I am almost 2 years later and average 15,000 steps a day which for me is a great achievement considering I have an desk job.

I also changed my diet considerably..

In my opinion, it comes down to each individual and what works best for them..there is no right or wrong way 😀😀

I get you.

The problem is I already live a very healthy life.

I walk 10.000 steps a day. I run 3 times a week. My diet is as healthy as a human can take it :).

I ate sugary stuff maybe once a week, on weekends, before I left the damn nicotine. And was fine with it. No need for more.

Now I crave it everyday.

It's like my brain is saying: what's the next selfsatisfying immediate thing after nicotine? Yeah, sugar!!!! I want sugar!!!

Weird, I don't even thing of the ecig much. But sugar? It's always on my mind.

I tried to trick my mind with fruit. At least it's healtier sugar. But it doesn't do the trick...

I was just miserable this morning looking at my scale. I really need to fight this.

I've been substituting cigs with a glass of water. I've actually lost 2lbs in 12 days. Today I'm craving sweet things but think it's due to that time of the month if you know what I mean ;) x

I'm crusing that sea too. So maybe it's a mix of both. I'm drinking water too. It helps, but I still feel like eating my weight in sugar. :)

That certainly makes it hard when your craving sugar..it is not something experienced. I always had a bowl of chopped up veggie sticks in the fridge as I certainly ate more..but I think for me it was the hand to mouth thing.

IT is going to take a huge amount of self control...and seeing as you exercise and eat healthy, I am sure you will win the battle of the sugar fix 😀😀👍👍

I went through sugar cravings and put on just about 10 lbs😡Grrrr... I finally had to stop the insanity and stop eating sugar .... Period... Now I'm feeling better and my clothes are fitting nicely again... Sounds like you'll have no problem because your lifestyle is active☀️
