Hey guys. Thank god I've quit just seen this article online about the government putting the price up its crazy. Im trying to get my dad to quit smoking but he won't listen to me yet his sisters husband died from smoking from stomach cancer which was caused by smoking for years would of thought it was a wake up call for him it was for me seeing my uncle die 2 days before christmas which was a shock for me. The government is putting the price up to £15 a pack of cigarettes. I think its about time the government did this maybe more people will quit smoking.

That is ridiculous £15, even the hardiest of smokers must think twice about that.

Just think you could go on holiday with what people spend on cigarettes.

£15!!!!! Wow well I'm glad wish they had of done that years ago it may encourage others to quit. Who could afford to smoke at those prices, it was an expensive addiction as it was at £6 or more a packed

Flippin eck..... They can put the price up as much as they like, all that will happen is there will be a flood of illegal cigs😟 And they put even more dangerous toxins in em 😱 I hope they put rolling tobacco up too....

One of the reasons i decided to stop was due to us wanting to come over to the UK from RSA.

We were calculating our hypothetical monthly budget and discovered that my cigs for the month would be more than our familes (2 Adults and 2 Kids aged 6 and 2) total monthly groceries...And we even over budgeted slightly just to be safe and the cigs were still more...A real Wake Up Slap for me :/
