Today I feel strange, I've been feeling pretty good all week given the situation Monday night..I'm at work right now...and I feel very tired, my head feels heavy...my hands are shaking...I've been drinking water...it's not helping...breathing deeply is making me dizzy...I'm getting a headache over my eyebrows...grabbed a juice thought it was maybe a sugar low since my intake of that has increased 10 fold in the past 18 days.
just feeling weak and like I need a hug

I had the same issues a week ago, which was around the 3 week mark, so just hang in there. I had a pain in my neck and shoulders, was horrible. I dare say it is all psychological and Mr Nic's desperate attempts to pull you back.
Well done, 3 weeks just around the corner. Dont know about you, but if you told me a year ago i would be almost 4 weeks without a cig i would laughed and told you to get lost!
Just keep going, it will get better (so i am told!)
thanks! yea i'm having aches and pains too, i know the stress hangs out in my weakened shoulder and upper back, heck if you had told me 4 weeks ago that i would be quit right now i've have laughed just the same!!
yes it will get better i know...sometimes it's hard to see beyond today what a few more weeks will bring
Hi there Carissa, Lots of the symptoms you have described , are common with quitting. It also seems you may be a little anxious. Perhaps a trip to the G.P would help you put your mind at rest.
You are definitely doing the right thing by stopping smoking.
2 weeks is good going so keep on your doing really well. xx
Carissa c'mere {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{HUG}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} You hang on now--you know not everything is from quitting---it may contribute to other things but it isn't our everyhting--Maybe you just don't feel well today--We give cigarettes to much power--like they are God--on them or off--The hell with them--Take some aspirin--go home and lay down if you need too-Maybe you are coming down with something-Stay calm and rock on-Love,MmeT
get some rest sweety--I had breathing crap today too--but everyday is different--Tomorrow better for both of us--Try not to stress--It will be ok---MmeT
Basically nicotine is like a big poisonous anaesthetic duvet that has covered and infiltrated our bodies for some while. In my case decades. We get so used to that heavy blanket that when it is removed our poor bodies are totally shocked. We feel sensations that we haven't felt for years.
One of the quit books that I came across advised embracing and welcoming these sensations as your body healing. This has worked for me.... even when I have been tearful.
Keep going.. moving forward and rejoice. ... we have escaped and are free. 🐱🐱🐱🐱🐾🐾🐾🐾
Thank you, I've actually trying to embrace the tearful moments since those tend to be the most frequent for me! Yes i was strangely calm at the funeral i attended and led song in today. God is Great! and thank you for sharing that's a really good way to spin what we've put our bodies through
God IS great. Without him I wouldn'tbe quitting or found this site. Bless you my darling xxx
