As you know the GP told me I had C.O.P.D, well went for my hospital appointment today in Reddich and had a lung function test. I did rather well on it. The consultant took me off the one inhaler and told me to keep the blue one and to use it when I need it. He said that I was in the early stages of C.OP.D and not to worry too much as now I have stopped smoking .
So wasn't as bad as I thought!

Hi Vikki there's nothing like a doctor frightening the life out of you as an excellent incentive to stop finding excuses to quit and to just get on with it. Well done you for reaching your 3 weeks Kx
Good on you Vikki, please God I don't shrink anymore - I'm already a munchkin compared to my 5'9" & 5'10" girlies-see my profile pic!! You've given me a real boost regarding COPD-I was diagnosed a couple of weeks back after a 40 year smoking habit. Sense you may not have smoked for that length of time but you really have inspired me to push for a proper lung function test. Had a spirometry test in GP surgery & was given a Spiriva inhaler which is really helping with shortness of breath. I still walk my dog 1-2 miles a day & can run up the stairs so I'm feeling ok but I'd like to know what stage I'm at. So thank you Vikki, stay well & smoke free, much love Poll x
Hi Poll, I had smoked for roughly 30 years and not being able to breathe properly frightened the living daylights out of me. They took the one inhaler off me and left me with the blue one salbutamol but haven't needed to use it thankfully. Your girls are tall lol make anyone look tiny.....couldn't believe I had shrunk, my son has taken the Micky out of me all afternoon, but he has just took my dog for a stomp and come back with a bunch of flowers so I won't hurt him yet !!!😇😀🙂.
I hope you get your test done soon Poll it puts your mind at rest.
Take care of you
