Hope everyone had a great weekend and are smoke free. I made it another weekend but find myself not able to sleep again. Took two doses of melatonin with no success. Not sure if I need to cut back on the quit smoking mints or what but it's getting frustrating. Just want a normal sleep pattern to start. Sorry for complaining as I know everyone has there own struggles. Thanks for listening

Hi guys your sleeping pattern will resume to normal, unfortunately it's one of the side effects of quitting 🙁 But hang in there coz your doing great 😊
first off, never apologize for ranting, that's what were here for, were here to listen to you, and help you through these difficult times, I've been sleeping like shit myself these past few nights, i too have been hoping that it will get better, I've taken some Nyquil a couple times to help me get to sleep, but i try not to cause prolonged use is bad for you, but always know that you can come here and rant, that's what were here for, and always remember N.O.P.E
Hi CC,
No you're not complaining.... We're here for ya...... Insomnia is my middle name haha.... I'm a terrible sleeper .... It's almost 4am and I've been up since 2:30am...... My dr prescribed me some sleeping pills but I still wake up after 3 or 4 hrs so I don't bother with them ... Melatonin gave me anxiety.... Works for my friend though ..... I don't really know what to say but I know the senior quit people say it gets better and easier......
Unfortunately this is a very common side effect of quitting and is very hard to deal with. Try chamomile tea as this may help. Also some of the breathing techniques under pinned posts on the right. A little lavender oil on your pillow also. Hang in there coz your body is working sooo hard at the moment to recover. Honestly things will improve and be very proud of how well you're doing😊
We are here to help! The sleeplessness SUCKED big time for me. I feel your struggle. I did try hot baths, and lavender on my pillow. Of course when I had my sweet slumbers, I also had horrible vivid dreams. LOL UGH!!! I promise you it does get better. Just hang in there with your quit!
On the right side too you can find some breathing exercises that help. Meditation is also wonderful.
