Hi Shimoni and a big warm welcome to quit support :) :)

Congratulations on your decision to stop smoking :) :)

I feel someone has mislead you on thinking the cravings go after two weeks.

It is also quite common that cravings get worse after 2 weeks and the reason for that is when we quit we are very highly motivated then after a couple of weeks we tend to get a little comfortable in our quit and we drop our guard a little.

Have a read of soe of the information under the pinned post and the topics to the right of the screen as there is a wealth of information :) :)

We do have a great support group here and you are very welcome to join in :) :)

Can you let us know your quit date so we can add you to the wall of winners :) :)

I quit 16 months ago yesterday :) :) I quit cold turkey after smoking 30 a day for 40 years. For me, the first 3 months was the worst for cravings. The longer we are smoke free, the stronger we get :) :) we have a little mantra that we use NOPE = Not One Puff Ever :) :) keep telling yourself that :) :)

When we smoke for that long...we have to expect some huge adjustments for our bodies...but it sure is worth it

Thank you how long have you quit for and how long before cravings are not so severe

Hello Shimoni........ Congrats on 2 weeks and 2 days👏 🎉🎉🎉🎉Everyone's withdrawal varies. My first 3 weeks were 3 weeks from hell.......nausea, aching teeth, exhaustion, spaced out, doubting my ability to stay motivated............ I kept a piece of paper with me at all times stating why I need to not light up ever.........women in my family have multiple strokes from smoking...... Amputations as well from circulatory problems...... And it scares the hell out of me to be disabled by cigarettes in my future.......You're well on your way...... Keep up the fantastic work.... It's not easy but it's worth it 💐

Hey Shimone,

Welcome and well done. It is tough, but you're doing great. We know how you feel and it will get easier (with some ups and downs)

Keep going you're doing great

Hi Shimoni .. 'just wanted to add my "Welcome!" to the others! Two weeks is a great achievement .. really! Some symptoms should start easing up soon ,.. I've found that some of them are unpredictable -- but overall it does start getting easier! For sure!

Hi Shimoni, a big warm welcome to our lovely quit support community :) :)

I see you've had lots of great advice and help from our lovely members on here :) and all I can add to that is, just be patient Shimoni, the more you FIGHT off mr nic, the less severe and the shorter the cravings will become :) :)

As for your detached, weird feeling, this is very common, its cos your brain is getting loads more oxygen now, than it did when you smoked :) and it just dosnt know what to do with it :o but it will, just give it time gal, cos your body is now going through a vast change for the better :) :) A lot of members feel dizzy too :o

Shimoni, your doing sooooo well :) and flippin cold turkey too :) I take my hat off to you, I truly do :) You hold your head up high and be proud of your achievements and go and treat yourself to something really nice eh :) :)

If you need any help or just want a chat, then please feel free to do so :) :)

Pete :)

I'm just a couple days further than you and I was so happy when the coughing stopped... That in it self was an achievement. I'm using e cig so my withdrawals were slightly easier as this far... But I'm lowering the Mic levels fairly quickly so that I'm on nothing soon... You can do this I know you can.. remember NOPE!
