Ok so this week I did a 5 day juice cleanse, no caffeine, no solid food, just freshly made fruit and vegetable juice. Loved it, feel re-energised and full of energy.
Wednesday night my 19 year old son casually mentions a cut he had has swollen up and he feels really ropey, oh and to finish it off he's got a red line climbing up his arm (it was one of 'those' moments when your only reply is get in the car. Long story short he'd got cellulitis and it turns out he's also managed to collapse a lung a some point and it has re-inflated but left an air gap which necessitated a chest drain and 3 days in hospital.
These 3 days have been a complete test , at 5am on Thursday morning as I left him in hospital I could have soooooooo easily gone a bought a pack of cigarettes , but his words as I left were remember mum no fags. And I pushed through, feeling very proud right now!!!! Oh and lost a stone on the juice cleanse!
