Hi Briarwood & Monky, thank you for the support.

Yes quit date was 15th June.

I got myself the quit smoking pack and like the blue plastic thingy that keeps your fingers busy! Put my 28day chart up on the wall to tick off each day.

I have also bought the nicotine tablets you put in the side of your mouth, managing with one a day to take the edge off things.

Keeping myself busy when I get cravings.

So pretty much cold turkey! But feeling better for it.

Can't wait to go running in the morning and see if it is easier on the lungs! 😀💫🏃🏻

Hi again Smartie22 :) and thank you for letting us know your quit date, now we have you logged in :) and I take my hat off to you for going it veryyyyy nearly cold turkey :) :)

Yes, some of these quit smoking packs are really good :) and as for the nicotine tablets, just wondering if you mean the lozenges :o cos these are very good :) You say you only need 1 a day, just wandering, is it the same time of day you have it :o or do you have it at different times of the day :o

I'm sorry for asking you these questions, but the more we know, then the better we can help you, if you need it :) :)

Yeah lozengers they're the ones.

In the morning on the way to work I've had one on day 3, 4 and 5 just to take the edge off the cravings.

I also have the odd piece of chewing gum too.

I didn't really smoke that much, generally 3-4 a day and more at the weekends, but feared it was getting more and more as the years go on. So decided to pack it in for health, money reasons.

I took up running last sept and towards the end of a 10k race I was thinking OMG I wish I didn't smoke as I could feel it on my lungs!

😀

Aup Smartie :) yes, thats quite normal, cos usually, the first couple of days are quite easy :) then, I think our bodies and mind say - OYYYY where's my flippin nicotine ????? and thats when you start to get more cravings :o

What I would do, is leave it until next week, then when on the way to work, try to wait, wait, until you really need a lozenge, then have it :) then, the following day, do the same BUT, try to wait longer before you have one :) if this makes sense to you :o :D :D

Smartie, am positive you will feel the difference after you've had your run tomorrow :) even after this short time :)

If I havnt made myself clear, then please feel free to give me a right good kicking up the backside :o cos everybody else flippin does :o :D :D :D

See's ya soon :)
