Just been to visit my big sister tonight. She made me a cuppa and automatically put a ciggie in front of the mug. There it was staring at me asking to be smoked, OMG it looked so good.

Pleased to say I passed it back and let her know my smoking days were behind me. But it was a tough call......

Hi mike, i was coughing all the time as a smoker and it seems to be almost gone now. It takes a while but it will slowly improve and your lungs will feel so much cleaner after a few weeks.

Can't understand people offering you cigs- maybe they still want you to be in their club- dig you heels in Mike and refuse.

People offer you cigarettes because it makes THEM feel better. My advice, graciously accept the cigarette & promptly flush it down the toilet. Then see if you get offered another. It's not worth one of their precious (& expensive) cigarettes unless it gives them the satisfaction of seeing you back enslaved just like them.

Hi Mike and a big warm welcome to quit support :) :)

It sure does make it a lot hard if you are getting that negative support from people.

All you can do is just keep telling them that you are now a non-smoker :) :)

Hopefully when they see how well you are doing, it may encourage them to quit too:) :)

If you let us know your quit date we will add you to the wall of winners so that you can get your milestone badges :) :)

Getting through these first days can be tough, and you are doing an awesome job all things considered :) :)

Stay strong Mike xx

Aup Mike, its lovely to see ya again pal and 11 days quit toooo, WOOOOOOOW :) :)

Your chest infection could just be down to you quitting the smokes :o but please keep your appointment at your docs eh :)

Mike, if you would please tell us more about you and your quit, then perhaps we could help you more eh :) :)

Are you using any form of NRT ?

Why do you want to quit smoking ?

What gave you that urge to quit the smokes ?

Mike, if you need help, please, please, just ask for it eh :) :)
