Stay strong Gary...you CAN do this try not see it as giving up something, If you can turn your thinking around to a positive, eg, Woohoo..I am going to save x amount of money over the next week - month etc. The brain is an amazing organ...For me, my mind set was was seeing quitting as a challenge..as i have a very competitive personality where second sucks so instead of battling cravings etc...my attitude was NOPE..not one puff ever...combined with...a mind set of this will not beat me :)... I am a little over 3 months cold turkey and smoked for 40 years at a pkt a day.
Hang in there buddy as it will get easier
Hi Gary, Well done on the start of your quitting. You will have to treat it like your cycling hard at first but gets much easier the more you do it. Wow just had a thought I wonder how many more miles you will do once you have definately quit. I think you do fantastic. Keep positive. xx
Hiya Gary, good for you and when ya get used to the ecig, it's a great help
Nobody says it's easy but it is worth it, so stay with it and you can do it x
Aup Garry, its great to see your still hard at it
Well, you'l be on day 2 now then pal and I too am using an e-cig, erm, I think you have to make it your new friend, so when Mr nic comes a calling, you can just tell him that you've got a new friend now and you dont need him anymore
Take care Garry
Hi Garyg, Great to hear you have decided to quit the cigs, it's the best thing you will ever do for yourself.
Try and stay possative even at the bad times, and stay with the e-cig as that's what's helped me to stay quit after 45 years of smoking.
Good luck, keep in touch,
