If only I have the chance to bring back time. I will not smoke. It's my 27th days of free nicotine and I'm back again. I just smoked 2 sticks today because of the stress at work. I'm ashamed of myself.
The reason why I stopped because I want to gain muscle. Can I still gain weight or muscle even I'm smoking?

Well done for quitting for 27 days - please don't let your slip up ruin all your good work. Honest now: did the sticks make the stress go away? Did you even enjoy them? Or did they just make things worse?
You can gain weight and muscle while you are smoking - but why would you want to? I guess you probably want to gain weight and muscle so you feel better about yourself and will feel more attractive - you probably won't get either benefit if you are smoking.
The best way of gaining muscle is through exercise - probably gym work with weights - and it'll be a lot easier if you are smoke free. Don't quit at quitting!
Rainier, hi. You have not failed. I bet those sticks tasted foul and made your head spin because you would not have had any nicotine for a few weeks. They will not make you feel better no matter how much stress you are under. In fact they make your stress worse. I know how you feel. I would love that feeling back where I just seem to own a few minutes that are only mine. We need to find another way to comfort ourselves. Good luck mate.
Aup Rainier, a big warm welcome to this lovely quit site
Rite, for one thing, dont feel ashamed of yourself for having a bit of a mishap think of it as a practice run you say you got stressed out at work !! well, think of a way to combat this next time
Was it a certain time ?
What were you doing at the time ?
Was it a certain place ?
Try to think of a different way to get around it, you dont say whether you use anything to help you quit, as in patches, gum, lozenges etc
I suspect your a man, cos you want muscles ok no matter how old you are it is always the best option to quit the smokes and all those poisons that come with them
Most of us on here who have quit put extra weight on cos of snaking, that seems to help us get through eh sooo, thats one problem of yours sorted, get snaking
I myself am an old boy of 58 now, but I go and exercise on my rowing machine most days, not just to keep me fit, cos it helps me get over the cravings too and I tell you pal, I feel on top of the world when I have given that rower some bashing so maybe if you join a gym, go running, get a push bike, get out and dooooooo it, cos muscles dont grow on trees, you have to work at it
Please, please quit them fags, set a new quit date and flippin goooooooo for it ok we are all here to help you if you need any
Hi Rainier, you did really well but just had a bit of a blip, I'd be really surprised if there was anyone on this site that it hasn't happened to in the past. Me, I gave up for a year and went back on them...
Don't feel bad about it but think about why you did it and what you got from it...... I'm thinking nausea, dizziness possibly felt sick !!!!
You know you can do it, you just did it for almost a month
Like monky says choose another quit date but always carry some sort of NRT with you. I am nic free for over 2 weeks now but have a patch in my bag as well as lozenges... haven't used them but they are there if I need them, anything rather than smoking those awful sticks...
