8 month today.

Hi all.I'm not showing off but I've reached 8 months today according to my calculations. It almost feels like I have never smoked. I am so used to vaping now that the old times feel like a long long time ago. A friend asked me if if I was going to vape forever now. It's bad for you,he said. Are you going to stop that?, No I said but just for today it's not an issue. It's a funny world me thinks. I stopped drinking alcohol 27 years ago. Stopped the use of ALL mind and mood altering drugs 25 years ago (legal and non legal). Stopped eating meat 22 years ago.Stopped smoking 8 months ago and it tickles me pink, that although I have done these things for myself for personal and moral reasons, people still have an issue with my journey through life. Bless 'em.

ha ha ha - that actually made me laugh out loud! It pleases me that the irony of it all amuses you because it would have been easy to have been offended by the comment. I assume your friend does not smoke and therefore finds it necessary to continue to judge you, even though you have stopped smoking for 8 months now (a truly fantastic achievement by the way!!) On the other hand, he may still smoke and therefore resents your achievement by dissing the thing that helped you get there!

So anyway, have you de-decaffeinated yet???? ha ha ha

MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS on achieving 8 months surrendertown - An brand spanking shiny new badge will be on its way to you very soon I'm sure! Wear it with enormous pride - you deserve it! xx :) :) :)

Lol. I alternate with caffeine and de caffeinated. No caffeine after 8pm though as I won't sleep. I sometimes tell people~

You don't live longer,it just feels like it. Ha ha.

My friend gave up the cigs about 12 years ago.?

Hi Ray, well done on your 8 months and hope you are doing ok. I got an e-cig from the shop you recommended and thus far it seems good. And also some liquid but it's 70/30 vg/pg and am finding it produces lots of vapour but a little sickly for my taste, so I may try 50/50 next time. I got a tobacco flavour which a reviewer said reminded them of sovereign which I used to smoke, hmmm I think the reviewer has a very vivid imagination haha. ;)

Thank you. I use the Orange top bottles of tobacco flavour and sometimes add some ry6 liquid. It's very nice . Only a small amount of this though as its a strong flavour. I stick with the tobacco flavours as I've never smoked mangos melons strawberries or bubble gum.lol

I think they are 50/50.

I bought a new winder battery, the large one.It Iasts for approx 10 each charge. Perfect for when I go out for the day.

Hi Pete. Well, last week I reached my 1st goal. I walked from my home up the field and then up the fell to Cowling pinnacle. Although its only 2 miles,it's a real slog up the crag face. It took me 3 hours there and back. But I did it.

If you want to, you might find a picture of the pinnacle on cowlingweb.co.uk. It's a fabulous view from up there. I felt so alive and chuffed that I had achieved it.

Hope you're ok. Thank for the encouragement. Ray

Thank you. Yellow snowdrop. I'm doing ok ish thanks. Lots of pain in the leg. But I'm doing all I can to get well. I am going to go camping this year. I said I couldn't, but I can and I will. Life's to short to wait for life. I will take it easy and I'm going with a good understanding friend. I might tell him that I haven't to cook or wash the pots so I can have a really good rest. Haha. Only joking.

I'm really glad that things are slowly improving.I've decided to use you as my inspiration if that's O.K.have got a bit of sciatic pain back and keep saying that I can't exercise or go to the gym but I figure if you can do it then so can I.I reckon that cooking and pot washing aren't allowed for the foreseeable future!!! :-) Take Care H x

How strange folk are at times, never ceases to amuse me. It think it's a fabulous achievement just the ciggies let alone everything else you have given up. I am just in the process of giving trying to give up meat and eating more plant based foots and once I have achieved this then the alcohol will be going, but I still swear a lot will be interesting to hear what friends say to me. Anyway huge congratulations to you think you have a lovely lifestyle with you regarding the walking, nothing makes me feel better than being at one with nature

Healing vibes coming your way :-)

Congrats :) your post made me smile.

But yes it is interesting that others like to find something to have an issue about. Ahhh well there problem not ours, i am an Ecig user too, and my son has asked when i am going to stop using it, so i replied....when you keep your room tidy....so i am safe as houses for a while lol x
