THANKS so much for your posts yesterday Jilly, Sinfree & Pete etc, "Yes" good to be back and Happy New Year to you all. Sinfree absolutely those 3 Docs were hopeless .......
Anyway a message to those in the first few days / weeks "let the Cravings in the front door and then kick them out the back door" they do get less & less powerful as time goes on and as each day passes you feel that bit better (unless you are tipping acid eye drops down the back of your eyes, throat, neck & into your stomach.... !!!).
If you are feeling brave try typing "Damage caused by Smoking" into Google and look at as much as you can because this sure put me off !!!!!
Yeah on 27th Jan I will have quit for 6 months and I promise this is the BEST thing I could have ever ever done and my asthma is miles better / improved and I have almost given up all the inhalers etc etc.
Best wishes everyone and stick with it because you CAN do it.
Good morning Jonathan, Glad your back. I cant believe its nearly 6 months since you quit. Your an inspiration to everyone. NOPE (for the new members Not One Puff Ever).
It's a lovely sunny morning here too, makes you want to go out for a brisk walk, I will do just that when I've completed a few jobs around the house.
I have reduced my e-cig nic level down to 11mg, it was a little difficult for a few days but am OK with it now, so I hope it will be as easy when I reduce down to 6mg !! But will give myself a few weeks yet,
But am so Happy that I'm still feeling so possative,
Have a great day everyone, and hopefully stress free !! x
Done my walk , now got to do ironing, perhaps I should have done it the other way round. Your doing well with reducing your nicotine level. Your a winner. Have a lovely day.
Sorry it's taken me so long to make it on here today, I've had a couple of meetings booked in and a mountain of work to catch up on
I didn't post last night because I went out for a meal with the outlaws and by the time I got home it was late. I just had a quick read through the posts, saw that you were all okay (having a PJ party!) and so went to bed
Jonathan, lovely to see you back - sounds like you had a bit of an adventure there with those eyedrops Well done on staying stopped though, you'll see we now have winners badges - so I've awarded you your 5 month award and we'll update it once you get to your 6 month - which is pretty darn soon
Mrssunnyside, you are doing ever so well too. I'm sure you'll find reducing your nicotine level no problem. Remember that a lot of it is how you train your mind to see it too Great to see that you are still positive
JillyGirl, I've cracked on with my daily exercises too, but I can't say that ironing was one of them. 14 x press-ups, 70 x squats and doing 30 seconds of 'the plank' I'm sure Andy will be continuing with hers in-between ski-ing
Sin, did you carry on with the pressup challenge?
Positive vibes being sent all the way to YellowSnowDrop for a speedy recovery xx
A huge box of love being sent to Vera for the bestest of outcomes for her results yesterday xx
Hi EmJay, umm no, I forgot all about them. But I've been so busy walking, which I hasten to add seems to be a complete waste of time as I haven't lost a single ounce, though I suppose it keeps the circulation going, and weightbearing exercise is supposed to be good for lessening the chances of Osteoporosis. Mind you my poor old knees have been getting a little upset about all this sudden mooching around. Plus my mum used to walk miles when she was younger, she ended up with a hip replacement and someone at work loved walking (I don't love it ) and she had a hip replacement a couple of years ago. So maybe exercise isn't all its cracked up to be. So, yes, yesterday I walked 4 miles and rode my bike 10 miles but did no press ups. Impressed with your squats, now if I did 70 squats my knees would just crumble and shatter I think.
Actually it could have something to do with the fact that I'm currently sat here eating a whole tin of Ambrosia Rice Pudding. Y'see 1 tin isn't really very much between me and hubby so, we had two tins mixed together which equates to 1 tin each, add to that a big dollop of Strawberry jam and you have most of the calories used in a 4 mile walk It's nice though.
Glad I'm not the only one that eats whole tins. Mind you that was for lunch, this was my afters, after Hollands pudding, McCain Homefries and mushy peas. Oh dear, 10 mile walk tomorrow Semolina, ugh brings back memories of school dinners. Not my thing, though there were lots of other nice things on the menu.

Nite nite Jillygirl, its been lovely chattin to ya gal sweet dreams, luv and huggs heading your way gal, so keep that flippin window open, so I dont bash my head this time eh
Some people have the best jobs. Anyone watching the animal thing on ITV? Aww, that poor little baby elephant that was attacked with an axe. They severed nerves in her back but with the help of specialists she can now walk with a special boot to protect her foot.
Aww, I didn't see the blind penguin I was putting jam in my pudding. They have such beautiful animals in other country's and treat them so badly. Ooooooh look at that little baby antelope, its gorgeous.
Well am going to get ready for bed while the cheery old news is on, so night Pete, Jilly and everyone.
Nite nite Sinfree, you have a lovely calm and soothing nights sleep eh
Erm, am just wondering, did you eat that rice pud out of the tin ?? cos I remember going camping, ermmmmm a few moons ago, we used to dump the tins of baked beans and rice pud on the camp fire, then just eat them out a the tins
