New smokefree 'Toxic cycle' advert...

I've just heard that there is a new advert on TV to encourage smokers to give up. For those of you who haven't yet watched it, here's the clip;

youtube.com/watch?v=c6Ul9QI...

The 'Toxic cycle' advert from NHS Smokefree shows the toxic cycle of cigarette smoke as it enters the blood and affects the lungs, heart and brain. It shows the damage that smoking can do to every part of the body -- and explains that every time you smoke, blood that's thick and dirty with toxins circulates through your body in seconds, increasing your chances of a heart attack or stroke. If you could see the damage, you'd stop.

NHS Smokefree helps thousands of people quit smoking every year and knows how challenging it can be. If you are looking to make a fresh start this New Year, search Smokefree online for a range of free support and resources to help you quit successfully in 2014. nhs.uk/smokefree

Brilliant ad which definitely makes you think.I just find it amazing that the body has such huge powers of resilience that after 35 yrs of smoking I'm still able to breathe at all!!Giving up is really really hard but the sense of achievement of making it this far just outweighs all those hard times by a million.
