First of all Well done on making the first move on quitting. We all react differently but being light headed is very common and does stop given time. There are plenty of hints and tips on this site. Emjay and Jarvo are our advisors and will be only too pleased to help you.
Are you using any nrt products or are you going cold turkey. Have a good look on this site there is always something that will help us. Join in the daily chat everyone is friendly and you can have a laugh too. stay focused. Well done.

Thanks for your comments ...
I have access to most of the stuff from previous attempts but at the moment a prayer and going through the pain (probably deserve it anyway).
Thanks
I will say a prayer for you. I found I felt lost and didn't know what to do at first. But you can do it . Come on here and have a good moan and laugh. It does help.
Good luck quit! I'll send up a prayer for you!
It's a tough old journey, old being the word for me. I remember a teacher at school telling us not to start, or we'd become addicted like she was. She was young andpretty cool, french. Then I got a french boyfriend, also cool, also a smoker, and it was Disque Bleu all the way. Wish I hadn't started, prayers answered when my kids didn't. So it might just help!
We none of us want to be smokers on here, and it's good to have a site for everyone with a common goal, to not smoke anymore. Your 7 hours and 45 mins have alreay given your cells an oxygen boost (or carbon monoxide loss!) So that on it's own is brill Every bit helps!
Hey, and the chest definitely benefits no end - have you got a regular walk to test it on? I have one, and felt the difference whenI stopped (and when I relapsed). Love that more open chested feeling you get after about a week it was great.
Enjoiy the evening, it is so good You are doing great already!
Hi Betts
Thanks for this and now 9 hours & 15 mins - so prayers working this time.
With asthma and now nearly 50 its not a great combination !!!
My neighbour has been praying for me for months - so if I can get to the other side she will be taking some of the credit !!
Breathing is better already.
All the best to you.
Many thanks

Thanks for messages.
It has been a most difficult day of very strong cravings but yes need to stay with it and let them pass !!
From: Quit (Jonathan) - gone off calling myself "quit" !!
Hi there Jonathan and welcome. So, you're over that first 24 hours now and well into day 2. Have you found Emjay's heavy - sorry, deep breathing exercises? They seem to help with the cravings and another thing some of us found helped was shouting and telling it to go away cos you don't do that any more.
Good luck and speak again soon, Andi
