I am using NRT patches and have managed 22 days without smoking. I was a 20 a day person.
I would like to know if anyone else is suffering like me.
I am feeling dizzy, being sick after coughing so much everymorning, I am also feeling so tired.

You are not on your own have now stopped for two months and never felt as ill in my life. A friend says that she was the same and it lasted for 6 months so just keep thinking it will get better. I know I have felt like this before and that started me smoking agiain but determined not too this time. I know that things will get better and it is just my body coming back from all the toxins over the last 44 years. suec x
Thank you.
I just dont like feeling dizzy, the good side is I dont want to smoke as the smell makes me feel sick.
Im worried its a reaction to the patches but having done so well dont want to go without them as they working.
Im also suffering with gas.... nice way of putting it
BridgePal: Although of no comfort to you, I used patches and did not have the syptoms you desribe. The only temorary problem I experienced was inflamed/itchy skin underneath the patches. Maybe a trip to your GP would put your mind at ease?
I understand everyone is different. I have booked appointment with Doctor best to get check up. Thank you
Hi Bridgepal. I found I was really dizzy for about a week and it passed. Sorry to hear that you are suffering but 22 days smoke free is amazing.. ..what a trooper you are. Stay strong you are doing sooooo well.

Thank you bunnyrabbit and madimad.... I have read loads of articles and they all seem to state this is all ok and the body is just getting rid of the toxins.... more water and exercise and a check up for peace of mind.
Hi Bridgepal and welcome to our lovely community. Any questions you've got just come on here and fire away - I'm sure there'll always be someone who can answer it for you or point you in the right direction. Mad's thing does say that you should report any side effects though - maybe your patch is too strong and you're getting too much nrt. Yes, more water and exercise is always good for you.
Good luck and come and join in the daily chat. Andi
Hi Bridgepal, Like Andi says welcome. I am sure Emjay our advisor will be able to help you . There are plenty of members all too willing to help.
Take care. xx
I only ever used one once and it instantly had this effect on me and the dizziness went almost the same time as the patch!
However....it may have been out of date
Or, and much more likely, it was because it held far too much nicotine for me (remember the dizziness after first cig of the day) so in your shoes i think i would consider reducing the. Strength AND getting checked by the doc (never hurts - it's what they are there for lol)
Well done on 22 days, keep it up the bad side effects will pass
