Very pleased Amor survived the ordeal and can sit peacefully at home in the sunshine now, sounds good :). When will you find out what the problem is and treatment?
Substituted toast for cake this time, but next time fruit is a great idea, thanks Sue, I'll get some in. (What I'm really thinking "Maybe there'll be some more cake later, this one's likely been scoffed now :)!") So yes, John, I think there will be cake later, always an idea!
Have a lovely walk Sue, I am going to do the same if I can just get myself into gear, then some work this afternoon. Having a bit of trouble getting a move on this morning, so ta ta for now
Glad he is a strong Black Country lad, so he'll be raight then when the cause and treatment is found. Fingers crossed the vet gets it sorrted quick, and he can get in into his full beautiful plumage again and feel in the pink!. A Black Countrylovebird's going to have a lot of pride in appearance ? Dapper ?
Good morning everyone, glad you're all sounding chipper today and enjoying some sunshine.
I was planning on getting up early for a run this morning but the forecast was bang on and when I awoke at 6.15 I heard the rain hammering down outside so turned over and didn't get up til 8.30. Sun's shining at the minute though so might get out before lunch if it stays dry.
Keep kicking those cravings into touch and you'll all be winners in the quitting stakes.
Thanks for the cake Sue, although even by cutting it into portions John never wants to share
Sue, enjoy your walk - How long now before you get to meet your little Grandbaby? I bet you are properly excited
John, glad to hear our little feathered friend isn't too bothered about yesterdays little trip out to the vets
Betts, how are you doing today, cravings wise? Did you have many of them around yesterday?
Good Morning Andi, not like you to sleep in like that
Hey Pete, I'm going to join you for that cuppa
With regards to a healthy way of eating cake, somebody gave me the following tip a while ago;
1. Take 1 cake - Best to choose your favourite if you are going to eat it
2. Cut it in half
3. Take one half of it - This then makes it half the amount of calories, so makes it more of a healthier option
3. Eat that half with a nice cup of tea - Tea goes well with cake and is lovely
4. Because it's half the amount of calories, you can then eat double the amount - So go and enjoy the half left over
Seriously though, have a think about what is more important to you, stopping smoking or losing any excess weight? Apart from Mad who is always looking to gain those extra pounds that everyone would gladly send her way
Deal with one thing at a time and you are likely to be more successfully at which ever option you choose
Remember to stay positive everybody and as long as you just get through that very next craving, then you will grow stronger
An elderly lady who was going to the small library next door early to drop off her books. slipped. Being a first aider I was called. Love her...broken hip I think. She's off in ambulance and I have caught up with other work related site. Phew!!
Just to repeat Woo Hoo it's Friday...roll on tomorrow...no work Happy Days
hi all, well today is the last Friday in the month nearest to the 29th so its 10 months to day smoke free nice day here sunny but not as warm as yesterday, going for a "potter" about in the garage in a bit.you all stay strong and smoke free
Wowee! 10 months, that is fantasic! Many congratulations, you deserve a celebration. I am hoping and praying I will get that far.
What a start to the day, bunnyrabbit Sue! And you coped with all thatan and you don't smoke! Another hats off star I hope the rest of the day goes more peacefully, you deserve a lovely cuppa and cake now.
I love Emjay's cake plan, thanks Emjay :). This is the positive way to have your cake and eat it, and then eat a bit more! I like it! And you are right, what's a few pounds (just adjusting my waistband...)
Not smoking, well I am feeling proud not to have had one. I do crave something, but really don't want to suck in smoke. I have a good chew on the inhalator, it doesn't need so much nicotine, I don't replace the cartridge, just one a day, but then I am also wearing a very comforting patch, it keeps reminding me not to panic, it's OK, got lots of supporting things. It may sound crazy, but as long as it keeps working for me, day by day, that's great. Whatever keeps your flag flying !
Have a lovely afternoon all - you deserve lots of cake Monky, all that work and dashing in and out the rain!
My legs are burning! The sun has come out at last here, and burning through the black jeans Be shorts soon at this rate
Hiya Betts. :-)Can't believe how well you and I are doing.
It will be 4 weeks for you on Monday and 4 weeks for me on Tuesday. I think although a cuppa is brilliant it should be champagne for our achievement to date.
