Further to my note on my lovely John's passing, and saying that Ricky my granddaughters partner was running the Bournemouth marathon for PSP, I did go to support him and my friends so so glad I did, it was very emotional helping all the runners with encouragement to get there for all their different charities especially when they were on their last legs, thousand of people all shouting them on it was so rewarding. Poor Ricky was in a mess bless him, but he DID IT, running for 4.30 hours and last I looked raising £1,843. He had to take the next day off work.

I am still busy making final arrangements for John's funeral on Fri 25th, his wishes were to have some tears, then to party to celebrate his life, we will be doing just that in the British Legion, as John was a member by doing his bit for the national service in the army serving in Kenya, to him that as a very special time of his life.

I miss him so much, that damn PSP took the last eight years of our retirement, and he never complained.

God bless you all, I will be thinking of you and your sufferings. Thank you all again for your comforting wishes, Jean 😍

Hello, I’m not sure how I managed to miss your post about John’s passing. I’m so sorry for you loss! I’m proud of you for being able to go out and cheer on Ricky’s run! What a great way to celebrate life while raising funds for PSP at the same time. What an inspirational story! Thank you and we just keep on keeping on (somehow)...

Yes sew bears, during all our conversations I thought your hubby and my john were at about equal stages, but John was 83yrs, maybe age and PSP was just too much, but it was a chest infection that he couldn't fight, and went from talking to end of life in two weeks.

Thank you it's things like your kind remarks that is so comforting, like all of us I hate PSP but wish he was still with me. Best wishes 😍 jean

Well done to Ricky 4:30 is an awesome time and well done you for getting out there as I know how hard it is. Lots of love and thinking of you as you prepare for the funeral, I was dreading Steve’s funeral but in a strange sort of way I had a good day and it really helped me to start to process everything that had happened and I really did feel that it was a true celebration of his life. So on the day take your time and breathe love Sarahxxx

Sarah thank you, planning his day has taken up most of mine and my children's time, but we are planning something very special for a very special man, I will take your tip and try to savour every moment to store in my memory box, regards Jean 😍

Well done to Ricky and to you too for being brave enough to get out to support him. It seems you are going to honour your husbands wishes to cry a little and party a lot to celebrate his life. Ben never reaches retirement age before becoming too ill to have any retirement and I often feel very angry about that.

My niece is running the London Marathon next year for PSP so I'll be there to support her.

Sending love and a big hug

So sorry you and Ben didn't get to retirement, makes me more grateful for the wonderful years we did have

Great news that your niece is running a marathon, she will be so encouraged with your support by being there, remind us next year when she is doing the challenge, I for one will follow it and look out for the PSP shirt. 😍Jean

What a wonderful tribute Ricky gave. Something unforgettable. Just lovely

Yes our retirement wasn’t to be. Charles also never complained but I did. I’m pleased your service will honor his wishes and will bring some comfort. God bless you.

Oh no, another couple who never made retirement, your Charles must have been so young to suffer those years, and he never complained either, proves how strong they were.
