Christopher Bruton. My husband of 52 yrs lost his battle with PSP and Dementia 28th FEB he fought hard and we will miss him terrible.. he was cared for a home till the end.. by my eldest son Chris his wife Sarah and myself.. we are told we did him proud.. its was very difficult at times but having good family around certainly helped … PSP is an awful illness… watching someone so brave, strong..fight it..but in the end it was just to much.. he passed away with family around him… quite peacefully.. This site has been a help, general information and others experiences..we thank you..

Bless anyone or their family going through this …. Keep strong..

Dear Tubbybru

Sending my deepest condolences to you and your family. Having travelled the same journey just recently with my husband please take comfort that, yes, you did him very proud in caring for him at home.

Big hugs 💜

You have done a great and generous job. God bless you.

very sorry for your loss. Sending my condolences. I am caring for my husband myself so appreciate how hard it can be at times but worth all the stress and effort to have your loved one remain at home under the care of his family who loved him.

I am so sorry for your loss. I and my kids have been taking care of my wife, at home, for over a decade. It is getting harder every day, and I can't imagine doing it alone, but I know some do. You kept him home and kept him surrounded with love. That is the best you can do with this damned disease.

Be content in knowing you did everything you could for him for a long time. You were awesome. Now, be kind to yourself
