I posted last week about my daughter, Becca, who was running in the Marathon to raise much needed funds and awareness for PSP.
Becca finished in a very respectable 4 hr 42 min 54 secs, despite having injured her knee and told by the GP 'NOT' to run, we are all so very proud of her. Thankyou to all of you who sent her good wishes, it spurred her on.
It was the most amazing day, busy, hectic, noisy and even stressful, trying to spot her in all those thousands. We cheered on all the other fantastic people in their PSP vests too.
A lovely post run reception was put on by Alan and lots of lovely people from PSPA in a lovely building in Trafalgar square, making each and every runner feel very special. Showers and massages very gratefully recieved along with the very welcome food.
Lets hope and pray the amazing funds raised to continue to help support the suffers of this evil disease along with their families and carers.
My father would have been so proud of his beautiful grandaughter.
A very big CONGRATULATIONS to all our runners. You were amazing

Thank you Beccas, from a very grateful carer. You and the others who ran on behalf of PSPA are to be congratulated on behalf of all sufferers and carers and their families alike. a very BIG thank you, once again.
The London Marathon was a tremendous success and we are so very grateful to everyone who took part in support of PSPA. The total raised to date is over £120,000 and it is anticipated the final amount will be £200,000. Amazing and truly inspirational! We can't thank the runners enough.
Well done Becca and all the other PSP runners. It is an incredible (if somewhat painful!) experience and one that stays with you. You should all be very proud of yourselves.
Well done Becca and our congratulations to all the PSP runners. We cheered like mad when we saw you come along the Embankment.
My daughter Sarah and her best friend from school Liz, also completed the marathon. Friends and relatives have been so supportive with their donations, the whole experience has been one of joy.
Sarah's comment about the marathon, "never again". Don't worry, by Monday she was saying "I'll do a better time next year"!
A big thank you to Alan for all his work before and over the weekend. Lovely to meet him first in the Excel centre and then again on Sunday. The cuppa was most welcome after the soaking we got in Whitehall.

Becca is already planning her next run, though not a marathon just yet. She says she can't wait to run aher next Marathon FIT and UN INJURED. The girls mad...just got the bug!!!
