Yes Jill, if you get this, you were the first person to respond to my very first post, many years ago. You welcomed me and told me about the online parties you started. The first one I joined in went totally bonkers as I hadn’t a clue what was going on but got the hang of it the next time. Hang on in there Jill.

What a wonderful idea!
I think the way Jillanf used to do it was to post asking if folk were interested and to fix the date and time... tricky because of our cousins in other parts of the world. So folk need to say when they can make it too.
At the day / time folk would show up and share what music they have on and what they are drinking etc.
The hostess... opens a party thread a little before the time (there are always folk who turn up early.
You, the hostess, can take round nibbles and top glasses up (just kidding)
