Seeking Solace and inner peace

I write to say that this is a wonderful site for those who need support but it is equally to important to be mindful of the needs of others .

I realise I have mental health issues and I am in the process of seeking help from a course of Psychotherapy Counselling

I am learning that each and every one of us had our own cross to carry and some can carry it better than others

I hope you are well

I think this second 🔒is really causing chaos with my own mental health

It is for this reason I am seeking recourse in a Psychtherapy

My little coping mechanisms have been removed and this will account for the struggle

How are you coping in horrible lock down

I never realised that mental health just as important as physical health

Hb2003 in reply toRoukaya

Well we aren’t in lockdown in Indiana unfortunately there are more than a thousand cases in the area where I live but the governor is not doing a good job ever since March we were in lockdown and then until July everything went back to normal

Hello it might help you if you could do some voluntary work helping others is rewarding and will help you connect and take your mind off your troubles like delivering food to them that are very poarly and can't get out, did you try any of my other suggestions, I do hope you can find a way to rise above your troubles and foccus on the good things you have, why not redecorate your home or do something creative xx

in reply to

I have enquired about some voluntary work a couple of days a week myself as it takes your mind off your problems.

in reply to

Yes I fancy it but I can't as my mam is too anxious ☹️

Hi - Hope your studies are going OK ? My sister looked into a psychotherapist and found them very expensive .

Roukaya profile image
Roukaya in reply tofocused1

I hope you are well

I realise it is an expense but given my inability to cope mentality on my own I have put a portion of my savings towards a few sessions

It is simply to help me cope

I hope you are coping in this Lockdown

Are you ok

focused1 profile image
focused1Reading Rabbits in reply toRoukaya

You are very lucky to have savings for this .Hopefully this should help.

Roukaya profile image
Roukaya in reply tofocused1

If I explain to you I will only pay for an affordable course of counselling

I would not call myself lucky at all if you knew what I have been through to acquire my savings

I hope you are well

I thought I was resilient Roukaya but this time of year makes it harder in our second lockdown, daylight just for 8 hours average, doesn't help either! It would be better if I could go to work now! But can't!

Good for you to seek help 🥰

I’m glad you are finding a pathway to being reconciled with your insecurities R!! You are certainly not alone with them!- everyone has them!!!!

You have made great inroads and I’m sure that your time is now ripe for the picking 🍒

Life is hard, but none of us want to leave it!!!!!!! My spiritual guidance is my stronghold in these desperate times, and I am gaining an inner strength that I have never had before.

Please don’t look 👀 backwards, - you express yourself so eloquently R, have you got a notebook and 🖊 to record your positive thoughts and tiny blessings for each day?

Q what did Santa do when he went speed dating

A he pulled a cracker 💕😊

Very funny

You also make me smile

My little Mum , I don’t need children with a Mum like mine

She can be very needy and I will always listen but she gets a little demanding

I can understand why Dad called her Princess

Have you ever watched Bridezilla

My Mums sister is a Bridezilla and my Mum is a calmer version of Bridezilla

But she can be incredibly funny and does peoples impersonations and very charming

She is a sweet little lady I expect who needs constant love and kindness in bucket loads I think

How are you

You are also sweet and kind

I am hoping to start a course of Psychotherapy ad I am become mentally anxious with the Second Lockdown

Are you lonely

I seem to be the lonely and isolated spice

Keep well

Sunfloweronline in reply toRoukaya

Ohhhh goodness I’m alone !!

But sometimes lonely!!!!

My family and friends are my great support and help!!!!

I’m involved with a local grieving

organisation that works through zoom- we have crafty sessions and bingo, and I’m coping with my downtime’s on far too much Facebook!!!!!

The days are a b- - - - - - sometimes , but my spiritual guidance is so comforting and is empowering me!!!!

Be honest and open with your support worker and gain strength and courage for your future days and, kick off your 👞 s and start all over again XTherese

Thank you

If I think of something funny I will let you know

I have a little joke for you

My Mother has a retired part time driver who should be in last of the summer wine with his attitude

His son in law used to work at the Airport as a taxi driver and Mums driver would give his grandchildren certain biscuits

I would tell Mum that your drivers son in law gets paid in Euros and only gives his grandchildren Oreos

It is the rhyme of Euros and Oreos in a French accent

I would tell Mum your part time driver only speaks in terms of Euros and each time he drives Mum he talks about the exchange rate

He clearly has missed his vocation as a Stock Market Trader

Take care

Everyone gets times they feel lonely and it doesn't discriminate if you are married or not.

in reply to

When someone suffers with deep deep depression they can feel lonely in a whole room full of people hearing everything going on around them and just wanting to escape it all xx

Yes experienced that after my Mother's death Christmas 2000! Went through that for 5 month! From year to year I slowly recognised the warning signs but it took a number of years not to feel that way especially around Christmas!

I think I better stay working, it keeps me sane, think retirement would not suit me! 🙏👌☺️🦋🌲⛄

in reply toSnowdrops_17

Yes keep working for as long as you can! It's as good as therapy for your self esteem xx

Hi, Roukaya - I hope the counselling helps you.

In the UK we can hope that the current lock-down will end on 2nd December... and that, soon after that, they might start vaccinating?

I suppose that, when you get your pension qualification, it will be country-specific?

An ex-girlfriend of mine qualified in Iran - and worked for her brother's firm in London, but did not get around to re-qualifying for the UK.

She left Iran after her husband got executed for disagreeing with the Shah.

Roukaya profile image
Roukaya in reply toS11m

I realise I am beginning to see I have mental health issues and which have played a part in me trying to pass and find a years work experience

The qualification once attained will be applicable to U.K. only

I hope you are keeping well

It is shocking to see how your friends husband was executed by the Shah of Iran but I also believe in Karma as the Shahs two children took their own lives

I am beginning to realise what ever good or bad we do it comes back to us

I would like to earn a living as I listen to Mum and become mentally exhausted

But I realise as she needs me to talk to as she runs a small property business.

I hope you are ok

S11m profile image
S11m in reply toRoukaya

I am holding together, thankyou.

My late wife had a buy-to-let business and bought two properties for me. She managed the business herself for decades but resorted to a letting agent, who, I think, is corrupt: the rent never came to more than the expenses.

The Building Society has been wanting their money back - and, this week, I have exchanged contracts and sold one of the properties.

Roukaya profile image
Roukaya in reply toS11m

Good Afternoon

I hope you are well

I also managed my Fathers property business and the managing agents were deducting rent for repairs and renovation which were unjustified

I could see they were cheating so I sacked them only for another agent to do the same to me

In the end I sold all of the buy to let property portfolio and I have one flat which is rented out

I have to listen to Mum as she has several properties but she is also trying to sell some

I think it is terrible that you incurred losses like this

In fact I am hoping to sell the rental flat and buy a home one day once I am able to earn a living

I hope you make a profit on the house which has exchanged contracts

Life is lonely and once I have spoken to Mum I become very tired as she is getting older and demanding and tired

How do you spend your time

I hope lock down ends in Dec

Do you have any plans for Christmas

I should ideally be studying for the resit and aim to visit Mum

I am sure you miss your wife

S11m profile image
S11m in reply toRoukaya

Thanks for your reply. The equity in the property has, I think increased by more than the the additional cost of the repairs.

Roukaya profile image
Roukaya in reply toS11m

I hope you make a good profit to compensate for the repairs and lost money from the spurious estate agent

Property is ok for some but I sold my Fathers property portfolio because of the maintenance and mortgage payments

Do you intend to do anything nice with the profit ?

S11m profile image
S11m in reply toRoukaya

It will not be enough to pay off the mortgage on the other property.
