I am slowly learning to realise that Lockdown has in its way been a lesson to teach us to value what we have and to strive to do what ultimately brings us inner fulfilment
I have continual issues of anxiety and low self confidence with hindsight has made me see how others have succeeded given their determination and will to succeed
I used to compare myself to others which is soul destroying as each of us will succeed in our own time
It is up to us to persevere with our life path despite the hurdles and challenges that we will encounter .

Morning Roukaya, I think you are so right, there is no point in trying to compare oneself to others. We are all individual with our own quirks that's what makes us all so unique. Would we really want to be anything, other than ourselves. We all have weaknesses, it's recognizing what they are. Even very successful people or people you think, well I wish I was like them, they all have fears and weaknesses. When we can see them it gives us a chance to think about what causes them, then we can go about changing them or if we can't change them, just accept them as being part of the person you may be and work with them. You are so right about the challenges in life and they are many, stamina and perseverance keeps getting us through. Be happy within yourself as we are all incredible because of our individuality.🌼🌷
I think Lock Down has served a dual purpose mainly to remind me and appreciate what I have in life
And to do something worthwhile and fulfilling
As an only child of two very strong adults I have often accepted being over powered by others and may be this is why I did not succeed job wise once I graduated
A great deal of experience has been gained both in terms of caring for an elderly Father and solely managing his business .
An experience which I shall never forget
Again I am learning to build upon the the basis of what I have .
In other words I will try to embark on phase two knowing this is what I would like to become
Well done for realising this which I am sure has helped stimulate a better outlook on life for yourself. Luckily I don't suffer from anxiety but have friends that do. One must learn to love and trust oneself first before one can trust others. Stay positive; you can do it!
I will resit the exams and look to find a years work experience
If I eventually find success I will let those on this website know
As many have been kind to me
Good morning. What's lovely Roukaya, is that you have really embraced the idea that things can change. And that's the start of anyone's recovery. You've done so well and achieved such a shift in thinking during lockdown that it's tempting to say it's almost been a good thing for you.
I really do wish you well going forward and I hope you'll be able to continue to embrace this new knowledge about yourself and the hurdles which you have faced in the past. I'm sure you can reach your goals if you can just keep on remembering the great gains you've made already. Take care. 🙏
I realise that in reality the Lock Down has served as a timely reminder for what we value in life
I did not succeed career wise may be because they were never the right door for me
I can see this now and yesterday when I saw the areas of employment my counterparts had succeeded in , this did not make me envious or sad at all because I can derive benefit from the experience I have gained in managing a business
We can learn to accept where we are in life and if given the chance to assemble building blocks to create a life which is of benefit to our own inner fulfilment and can serve as a Altruism in the sense to help others who have so much less than others
I hope you are well and thank you fir your reply
My post must have really made an impact for you to reply
You are just as good as anyone else, just tell your inner voice to stop nagging you. Many couldn't have done what you have, you have taken a degree in Law, but put it in hold to care for your late father.
Now it is time for You. You have a unique place in the tapestry of life, the picture would not be complete without you and your thread.
I think as an only child I have never been a competitor this is why I have struggled I think to cope with the competitive streak of the legal profession
As you do rightly say , I cared for a vulnerable adult , by this I discovered what I would like to do for a job and also by managing a business on the brink of collapse , I have learnt how to stabilise a business also learnt to gain a greater understanding of the struggles of others
This I think has been an evolving process and I would have never gained such an insight if it was not for my own personal experience
