Lessons and benefits of LockDown

I am slowly learning to realise that Lockdown has in its way been a lesson to teach us to value what we have and to strive to do what ultimately brings us inner fulfilment

I have continual issues of anxiety and low self confidence with hindsight has made me see how others have succeeded given their determination and will to succeed

I used to compare myself to others which is soul destroying as each of us will succeed in our own time

It is up to us to persevere with our life path despite the hurdles and challenges that we will encounter .

Morning Roukaya, I think you are so right, there is no point in trying to compare oneself to others. We are all individual with our own quirks that's what makes us all so unique. Would we really want to be anything, other than ourselves. We all have weaknesses, it's recognizing what they are. Even very successful people or people you think, well I wish I was like them, they all have fears and weaknesses. When we can see them it gives us a chance to think about what causes them, then we can go about changing them or if we can't change them, just accept them as being part of the person you may be and work with them. You are so right about the challenges in life and they are many, stamina and perseverance keeps getting us through. Be happy within yourself as we are all incredible because of our individuality.🌼🌷

Good morning

I hope you are safe and well

I would like to thank you for answering my post

I think Lock Down has served a dual purpose mainly to remind me and appreciate what I have in life

And to do something worthwhile and fulfilling

As an only child of two very strong adults I have often accepted being over powered by others and may be this is why I did not succeed job wise once I graduated

A great deal of experience has been gained both in terms of caring for an elderly Father and solely managing his business .

An experience which I shall never forget

Again I am learning to build upon the the basis of what I have .

In other words I will try to embark on phase two knowing this is what I would like to become

Thank you for your kind understanding

Well done for realising this which I am sure has helped stimulate a better outlook on life for yourself. Luckily I don't suffer from anxiety but have friends that do. One must learn to love and trust oneself first before one can trust others. Stay positive; you can do it!

Good morning. What's lovely Roukaya, is that you have really embraced the idea that things can change. And that's the start of anyone's recovery. You've done so well and achieved such a shift in thinking during lockdown that it's tempting to say it's almost been a good thing for you.

I really do wish you well going forward and I hope you'll be able to continue to embrace this new knowledge about yourself and the hurdles which you have faced in the past. I'm sure you can reach your goals if you can just keep on remembering the great gains you've made already. Take care. 🙏

Good morning

I hope you are well

I think I am learning to take charge of my own life without being over powered by two very string parents

I realise I spent my forties caring for a very ill Father and the grand plan was that I was assigned to take of Dad

I cannot regret that I did not qualify because of I had done , my Father would have died of neglect

It has taken me time to reason and accept this part of my life journey

I hope you are safe and well

Thank you for your reply

I think I am learning to realise that there is always hope and a chance to succeed if we believe we truly can

Sadness and anxiety go hand in hand and i did not even know this was part of me until recently

Only by recognising our weaknesses can we really make progress by doing the best we can

Even though Lock Down is easing it is still essential to be on our guard

Good morning

I hope you are safe and well

I often read your posts and your pictures

I realise that in reality the Lock Down has served as a timely reminder for what we value in life

I did not succeed career wise may be because they were never the right door for me

I can see this now and yesterday when I saw the areas of employment my counterparts had succeeded in , this did not make me envious or sad at all because I can derive benefit from the experience I have gained in managing a business

We can learn to accept where we are in life and if given the chance to assemble building blocks to create a life which is of benefit to our own inner fulfilment and can serve as a Altruism in the sense to help others who have so much less than others

I hope you are well and thank you fir your reply

My post must have really made an impact for you to reply

Hi Roukaya,

You are just as good as anyone else, just tell your inner voice to stop nagging you. Many couldn't have done what you have, you have taken a degree in Law, but put it in hold to care for your late father.

Now it is time for You. You have a unique place in the tapestry of life, the picture would not be complete without you and your thread.

Cheers, Midori

Good Afternoon

Hue are you?

Very kind of you to reply

I hope your new home 🏠 is progressing well

Thank you for your kind words of understanding

I think as an only child I have never been a competitor this is why I have struggled I think to cope with the competitive streak of the legal profession

As you do rightly say , I cared for a vulnerable adult , by this I discovered what I would like to do for a job and also by managing a business on the brink of collapse , I have learnt how to stabilise a business also learnt to gain a greater understanding of the struggles of others

This I think has been an evolving process and I would have never gained such an insight if it was not for my own personal experience

I have been filing this morning

All the papers I let pile up during Ramadan

I hope you are keeping safe and well

Good Afternoon

How are you

Thank you for such a kind post

This is much appreciated

How is your beautiful rose 🌹 garden

I miss my Fathers cheeky sense of humour

He was a real eccentric

Even the bank staff remember him and call him crafty

How are you

How have you been spending your day

I have been filing this morning

Have you been to the sales

There was a 90% sale in Marks and Spencer’s where I live and I was pushed to go by the Pocket Rocket

I was a little stunned to see such massive reductions

I told Mum she said go back and do not come back empty handed

But in sales, there was no social distancing whatsoever

I did have a mask on

I think even though the Lock Down is easing , we still need to be very careful

Thank you for your reply

Hi

You cared for your late father and ran a business, this in itself shows how strong you are.

You have become such a strong person during lockdown and I know you can do it. Think positively and you will get there!! All my love Lynne xxxx ❤️💜

Good Afternoon

Thank you for your reply

It is my Mother who is the Pocket Rocket

She is 72 years old and is always energised like the Rabbit of the Duracell battery

It was a chance conversation I had with the Pocket stating that Marks and Spencer’s have slashed chocolates to 75 pence a box

Mum said I should go and buy more

By the time I had gone all the chocolates at 75 pence had gone but I was told there was a sale of ninety percent

People were buying buying and I came home with a few items

It was my Mum the Pocket Rocket who said to go back and at people were buying trolley loads of clothes given the mark downs

The food at Marks and Spencer’s I agree is very good but I have noticed that I am also tempted to buy more than I need

I think after the Sales experience it is very important always to be careful when venturing out

I hope you are ok
