Communication

Any communication through phone computor immediate neighbors are all forms of reducing isolation. This is not a time for the elderly to have their value of independence. Ask for help with no guilt attached. I am 73 on chemo and like most peoe of me age value my Independence but these are trying times and we all need to pull together. Stay safe everone

Yes, it can be difficult to ask for help but we have been pleasantly surprised at how willing people are to help and that they are pleased to feel useful. People may not realise you need help until you ASK!

Yes people have really rallied round loads of goodness out there it's just getting the elderly to understand this. A lot aren't on modern technology and you don't want them taken advantage of by a stranger knocking their door. I would hope GPS will refer to Social Services where there is concern

The nearest village to us have put notes through people's doors letting them know who to contact for help. They have a strong Village Partnership.

So true. It’s hard to ask for help but I find that when you ask most people are pleased to help. Thank you. 😊

Maybe she is frightened to answe in case she contracts something try a note through her door saying you will knock her door again at specific time then she knows who you are
