Contraindications Vit K2 and Low dose aspirin

I take low dose aspirin and have done so for years. I have SVT and at one time angina was suspected though not confirmed. Following a recent episode of kidney stones I decided to drop AdCal and take a high dose Vitamin D as I have a calcium rich diet. Several people recommended Vitamin K2 and I have these now but wondered whether there is a conflict between K2 7 and the aspirin. Opinion seems to differ on this so appeal to your collected wisdom before I actually swallow a K2.

Vit K1 is involved in the clotting mechanism, more vit K makes blood clot better, and aspirin is given to inhibit platelets to reduce the risk of clot formation, for example if you have a cardiovascular condition. If you have been given the aspirin to reduce the risk of clotting, adding vit K may interfere with the overall effect.

It is vit K2 that is implicated in bone health - and it is disputed as to how much effect vit K2 has on blood clotting. For most patients with PMR it doesn't matter - but it may be important for those of us requiring some form of "blood thinning" medication.

Thank you. It is the K2 7 I have and as you say it seems to be disputed whether this affects blood clotting. Oh, the complications - should I take the risk - if there is one, I can't decide.

What sort of SVT is it? Out of interest, how did its onset relate to PMR?

Ten years after initial diagnosis of PMR I began to have palpitations, dizziness and near fainting episodes which were diagnosed as supra ventricular tachycardia and I was prescribed Bisoprolol. At this stage I was on 8mg pred.

5 years later these symptoms worsened and a week long ECG showed there were, in addition to narrow complex tachcardia, also short runs of atrial fibrillation so the dose of Bisoprolol was increased to 2.5mg where it has remained.

Generally, fingers crossed, I haven't been very much troubled by the SVT recently. I am now at a surgery where I feel I am better looked after than the one where the original diagnosis was given and I don't want to rock the boat by taking or dropping any medication unnecessarily at this stage.
