Adcal

Adcal how long do we have to take it. I know it's to help the bones when on prednisolone. X

I'm also taking HRT and Alendronic acid and Adcal for osteoperosis. Does anyone know if any of these meds affect vocal chords. I'm a singer, and find I'm unable to sing for over 30 mins now before mucus builds up and I become croaky.

My other issue is my nurse has told me to stop Adcal d3 and only continue with Vit D3 she will do a blood test in 3 months to recheck calcium levels.

My other Meds: Bisprolol; Lercandipine; Ramipril; Rosuvastatin; Risedronate and AdCal. Also on Apixaban following a DVT 18 months ago. Happy New Year to all!

I am taking HRT and Adcal and wondering if I can do without AA? My osteoporosis was discovered after a spinal fracture, T- 3.4. I’m 53 yrs old. Thanks for any replies.

Has anyone got side effects from the aa and adcal. At moment not feeling good on all of them

Would appreciate your input before appointment with NP/GP: also on Ferous numerate as was previously low, and take 1-2 Adcal D3 daily.

Am I being over optimistic and is this a long haul condition 2) I also have polymyalgia (taking prednisolone), steroid induced type2 diabetes (taking metformin and dapagliflozin ) plus high BP (taking Ramipril) + for good measure Omeprazole and Adcal.

I recently had a DEXA scan arranged by my Endo , it’s been 5 years since my last one when I was told I was I had osteopenia my calcium and vitamin D we’re good so I refused Adcal .

about taking Adcal and explained that a lot of people on this forum were automatically prescribed it when put on steroids. GP asked about my diet and said I was getting plenty of calcium in my diet.

In case relevant - I'm currently on 11mg of pred (have been for a while as so much is going on in my life tapering did not seem sensible at the moment) and am also on adcal, omeprozole and alendronate and thyroxin as well as a range of other non-PMR drugs that I have been on for years.

Omniprazole, Adcal, - lisinpril and now indapamide for raised blood pressure. I felt so poorly this morning with violent headache and shaky all over I phoned surgery and had a call back and then saw GP. She checked me over and called the Rheumatology consultant - who then phoned me back.

Due to the PMR I started in June taking Adcal-D3 750mg/200unit caplets x 2 twice a day. These are the results good -fair -bad? I am a female 62 no issues.

She immediately put me on Pred, AA, Adcal & Omeprazole. Since being at the new surgery 3 years now, I’ve not once had a conversation with any doctor about my meds, so I just do my own thing.

is there anything more palatable in the way of Calcium D3?

Lunchtime I take Adcal D3 and Atorvastatin 20mg then a 2nd Adcal D3 with evening dinner. I've been a Vegetarian for ~30 years and previously to PMR took Multivitamins every day as B12 deficiency can be a problem in veggies I believe. Question.

Take Lansoprazole and AdCal. Spoke to very pleasant nurse at BLT.

I already take Adcal Dissolve x 2 & Vit D & intend starting Vit K2 if I can get the go ahead from my doctor to be OK with my heart meds. I also walk quite a bit for exercise - between 6500 to 10000 steps a day.

Resting a lot more, taking AdCal/ Vit D supplements and following advice in here have upped dietary intake of calcium ( enjoying hot milk before bed!). Have been told I don’t need a Dexa scan. have got Vit D/ K2 from Amazon.

No other meds, just AdCal D3. Don't want to mess things up towards the finish line. Busy active person. Asked my large surgery for a Cortisol test. Never heard of it. They've contacted Addenbrookes for advice!
