Having been hospitalised on 20th December following a nasty, unexpected fall whilst walking the dogs I had a replacement ball and socket of left shoulder on Christmas Day! Yes five days of agony first and surgery delayed due to copious unexplained vomitting of blood over four members of surgical team, my husband and a nurse! The scene would have been worthy of featuring in 'Casualty' or 'Holby City' without doubt.
Anyway the day have come and gone under a haze of strong painkillers and I am being discharged home, quite poignantly methinks, this New Years Eve. So before I collapse in an inevitable heap both physically and menyally, I wanted to wish you all heaps of resolve, determination, support, willfullness, and wisdom to cope with whatever 2019 may throw at you on your journey towards good health in the new year. All the best. Warmest Regards.
Marilyn.

Marilyn, so glad to hear you are home with the surgery behind you. All I wish for you this Hogmanay is a chance to rest and recover (hospitals are brilliant in many ways but restful isn’t one of them) and that 2019 is all you wish for yourself. Your posts, especially about the concerts and music, cheer me up and I hope you are back to yourself soon.
A most uncomfortable surgery - remember mine all too clearly ! Best to you for a good recovery - will require specialist physiotherapy. But you'll have been advised for all of that lark.
Take care. Rest. Listen to your body and 'go easy'.
Cheers for the best of outcomes and a darn good step forward with a darn good kick to all the bad stuff - Take care - 2019 Hello -
So pleased that you've now been discharged- what an ordeal you have experienced and survived! Totally agree with your sentiments for 2019 and your words symbolise to me your own resolve. Take care, continue to remember you in my thoughts and prayers. Keep us informed how you get on. Very best wishes Jackie xx
