Hot abdomen

I have been experiencing a burning sensation in my lower abdomen. GPS are baffled. Don't think they have heard of thisI only get it when sitting

Lying down relieves it as does standing

I had a pelvic ultrasound which showed multiple fibroids

Don't know if they have shrunk or not since last ultrasound a few years ago

I also had urgency to pass urine. That lasted a month then stopped

I have multiple fibroids. I am post menopausal

Could fibroids cause this symptom

Hi, I too have fibroids, I was also diagnosed with diverticulitis in 2021 if I have a "flare up" I get horrendous burning in my stomach. It may be worth going to see your doctor again.

Hope you start to feel better soon.

Hi

Sorry to hear you have this horrible burning. Its so uncomfortable

I have a pelvic scan in a couple of weeks

That will show the fibroids but not sure what options there are after that

I resisted a hysterectomy years ago and still do not want that

I am fed up doing a doctors job for them, They never mentioned it might be fibroid related .

I think they are glad the internet is around so we can do their job for them

Thanks

This sounds nerve related, like some thing possibly compressing nerves (likely fibroids).

I don’t have fibroids but I do have very severe endometriosis and I get a horrible burning in my pelvis too as well as bladder problems and was told my nerves have been damaged.

Hopefully a gynaecologist will be more helpful to you than the GP, I don’t like how they make out our symptoms are ‘unusual’ when they’re not.

Best wishes to you ❤️

Hi

Sorry to hear you have this too. Its so uncomfortable

I ts ridiculous that we often have to figure out stuff for ourselves. My GP hasnt even mentioned that it could be fibroid related

I wonder if they are glad that the internet is around so that we can do their job for them

I have a pelvic scan in a couple of weeks . That will show the fibroids but dont know what options ther are after that
