Hi, I've been getting pelvic pain due to tubo ovarian abscess for past year. Sometimes it develops into infection with fever vomiting etc. However recently it's pelvic pain that comes on really suddenly without fever, some nausea.
I've been reading up and was wondering if anyone can describe what their adhesion pain or darling pain feels like? Think the abscess might have developed and caused adhesions or scarring, but I'm not sure. Still waiting for next gynaecology appointment.

After surgery to remove my colon due to c-diff, I was left with massive abdominal adhesions. The resulting chronic pain is horrible. I will be taking prescription oxycodone indefinitely to help me function during the day. The adhesions sometimes cause small intestinal kinking, which result in bowel obstructions. In 7 years, I have been hospitalized 41 times for it, which includes a nasal gastric tube running up my nose down to the bottom of my stomach, thus suctioning contents out. This prevents further vomiting.
A dozen times while hospitalized, adhesiolysis surgery was needed to free up my small intestines. The adhesions pull on my organs, causing terrible pain spasms. Most people with adhesions don't feel pain, but I am one of the unfortunate ones. Possibly you are one of the unfortunate ones. The pain is usually in the left lower quadrant. There are no tests nor imaging that can confirm adhesions. They can only be seen with surgery.
The pain feels like there is a fist fight going on inside of my abdomen. It can be constant, or it can be with spasms. The pain can increase at any time with no warning. I can be playing golf, and sudden pain forces me to stop. If the spasms continue for hours and vomiting starts, I usually go to the hospital emergency department. They perform a CT scan. If it shows an obstruction, I am admitted as a inpatient. This cycle makes life difficult for me, but I try to keep a positive attitude.

So sorry to hear how its affecting your everyday life, it sounds so difficult , this is what worries me the most. I'm hoping I get some clear answers and options after gynaecologist looks at recent ct scan. Thank you for all the information, it's so hard to find answers on Google when you're presented with a hundreds of bits of info! Makes me feel more informed going into my next gynaecologist appointment, last time round I had lots of questions and then didn't ask anything once I got there even though I'd written it all down! Hope things get easier for you , thank you again 
I used to have terrible pain with adhesions. Eventually I had an operation for another reason and the surgeon calle din another surgeon and together they cut out all my adhesions. Unfortunately that has left me with 1.2 m of small bowel so I have absorbance issues.
So sorry to hear what you've been through . That's another thing that worries me - having an operation and then being left with another health issue as a result.
I still have issues in that my large bowel is adhered to the wall. I also have two fistulas which are leaking mucus into the abdomen where it pools before it spills over and exits via the vagina and a small amount through the anus. I also have two stomas. ,my fistulas cannot be repaired as it is too dangerous. I spent 26 days in hospital recently, including Christmas and new year because it went septic. Make sure you go in with your eyes open and ask lots of questions
That sounds so painful , hope things get better for you Last time I went for gynaecology appointment I froze and didn't ask any questions even though I'd written them down. I have an appointment next week to discuss latest scan, going to make myself ask lots of questions and hopefully take time to consider next steps ,
