I had chemo/radiotherapy for anal cancer in 2015 and was given the all-clear in 2021. There have been a number of side effects since but 12 weeks ago I developed pain in my right hip at the end of a walk (keen walker).
GP doesn't know what the cause is (no surprise there!), but arranged an X-ray, which showed no significant issues. So went to my Osteopath, who diagnosed lateral hip alignment issues i.e. my left hip is higher than my right. I have had two sessions so far and have basically been resting for 12 weeks (retired, thankfully) but it doesn't seem to be improving much.
I'm wondering if it might be somehow related to the radiotherapy (apart from the lateral mis-alignment) and wonder if anyone else has had similar experience(s)?

I don’t know if this will help at all but my sister had breast cancer and she had a lot of pain after radiotherapy. But anytime she is worried about anything going on in her body that is unusual she gets it checked. She has been given all clear but is constantly worrying about cancer going elsewhere so she gets seen by doctors. Can you raise your concern and ask for an mri
thanks for the suggestion. It hasn't been mentioned by the GP or Osteopath but having done some reading, it looks feasible, except I don't get any 'clicking or locking'. I will enquire further.
