Pelvic pain due to hip labrum tear

Just want to let everyone know, a lot of my pelvic floor pain was due to a hip labrum tear. Took 3 years to diagnose. Mri with contrast. Shortly later I had surgery for prolapse bladder and am finally out of pain

Because these hip disorders are more common in women, a thorough history should include the discussion of pelvic-floor symptoms. The obturator internus is considered one of the primary musculature sources of pelvic-floor pain that often presents with the complaint of deep vaginal pain. Because the obturator internus is a primary hip rotator, a hip-related cause of pelvic pain should be considered in the differential diagnosis when the pain is determined to be originating from this muscle and when other causes have been excluded."

What surgery did you have? Did they fix the hip labrum tear as well as the bladder prolapse?

Hip labrum repair. Then a year later vaginal prolapse surgery. Then 3 years later Cystecele prolapse surgery. It’s been 3 years since the last surgery. The hip labrum put everything out of wack. Very painful

I was diagnosed with labral tear two and a half years ago but the doctor dismissed the claim that my pelvic pain could be caused by this and he referred me to physio (from what I read a labral tear can be fixed only by surgical means). That was more than two years ago, then the pandemic kicked in, I was discharged due to lack of availability. All these years I have been living with constant pelvic pain and UTI symptoms and now it is the first time I see someone to have relief after a labral repair surgery. Thanks for letting us know, and can you please tell me where did you have your surgery done?
