How to deal with pelvic pain

I have been having a lot of pelvic pain over the last 10 months especially since i have to have a catheter fitted. Also, I feel that I have another ovarian cyst as I am getting similar pain as I have had them in the past.

I have had to have the catheter fitted since September because I was retaining urine. Since September I have had at least 10 different catheters fitted. I have had at least four catheter come out with the balloon still inflated. At times its too painful to even sitting is so painful. On Friday I spent most of the day at A&E because I finding it hard to cope with the constant pain from having a catheter. I finally got home just after 8pm I arrived there around 10:30am. They are sending me to have a CT Scan to see what scar tissue there is from having six surgeries that I have in lower part of my stomach in the past. Then they will fit a Suprapubic Catheter fitted it will have to be open surgery because of the past operations.

I'm hoping that it wouldn't too long before I get the CT Scan and then the fitting of the SPC.

I am hoping to get weight loss surgery by the end of this year so next year I can get to my goal weight of 8 1/2 stone as I have got around 8 stone to lose.

So sorry for your pain. Catheters are at best annoying and at worst really painful. I think you must have some kind of incontinence or prolapse since it comes out balloon and all. The balloon can rub and cause pain- like calluses. I can't handle the indwelling catheters. I have had my urethra reconstructed 3 times. They have bladder installations they can do for this kind of pain. It depends on the doctor as far as the neds go. They usually have lidocaine as an ingredient. I think they mostly use them for IC. I sure hope you find a way to lose your weight and get your health back. My cousin says "health is wealth". I am very inclined to agree with her.

The last catheter came out just 9 days after it been fitted. I had another one fitted on Sunday. I am in pain from it coming out with the balloon inflated.

Also, I have had gastro since Friday and struggling with eating and drinking which isnt good when you are diabetic on insulin.
