Pelvic pain - where next?

Hi all - new to this network and looking for some advice - been having lower abdominal pain and difficulties with trapped wind since around Feb 2020 - I had a bunch of bloods and stool sample done in May 2020- all normal - I’ve had a baby during this time and the pain persisted throughout my pregnancy and post partum. I’ve had an Ultrasound post baby which was clear and I’ve seen gynae so ruled out any ovarian issues. I had bloods and stool sample done which all came back normal. I finally got to see pelvic health physio who confirmed I have a tight pelvic floor and this is likely to be the cause of the pain. I’ve been given advice on deep breathing, tips to reduce gas build up and advice on internal massage. I’ve seen them 3 times and on my 3rd visit the PT said I just needed to carry on with this and would discharge me.

I got back in touch with the GP as I was worried again following a bit of weight loss and she sent off for blood in stool test which has come back normal.

I’m due to follow up with the GP on Monday and just wondered if there are any other avenues I should ask about?

Pelvic health physio is so busy I can’t get another appointment until March 2022 - but I actually don’t know what more advice they can give?

It’s not unbearable pain but it’s just a nagging pain that comes and goes - massaging my stomach helps as does the deep breathing….

Any thoughts much appreciated!!

Just a thought but have you seen an gastroenterologist? They specialize in the digestive system. The pelvic pain may be a red herring though it seems you need to work on the tight pelvic floor. If it were me, that's where I'd go next.

Thanks that helpful to have something to go back to the GP with! Yes I was wondering what was causing what and I don’t just want to accept that it’s “just” pelvic pain without ruling out everything else
