thankyou for your replys.i have now found out what was causing my legs and feet to have achey pain .it was my pressary ring that had been fitted on may the 10th.as i had the old one taken out and anew one in. but i dident feel right when i got home but i thorught it would wear off in time . and i was put on ramipril around the same time by my gp. so for 6 weeks iv been having a sore feeling around my bladder and it jut dident feel right so 3 weeks ago i phoned my doc and said could this be the pressary ring thats slipped back and rubbing up and dound on tissuse or something as i feel so burny sore in there. dr looked said yes it had slipped back i said i think its smaller size then my last one im sure . so my doctor ordered anther size got it fitted now but .it had coused a infections so iv had a three day antibiotics and i finished them this morning i had trimethoprim 200mg twice aday but now i feel like it still aches and sore .just woundering anyone had this promblem and will it taken time to feel right or will i need anther lot of anibiotics . i just want to feel comfy again

I am sorry to hear of your issue in the past I had many pressary fittings and I was not able to use them I had all the problems that you did on multiple sizes and many infections when I prolapsed it caused nerve damage I had the corrective surgery so I no longer need a pressary and have not had an infection since it did make the nerve issue worse however I would have the bladder lift done again I could not live with the feeling of with every step my insides falling out and the rawness of the pressure so yes I would recommend the surgery I hope this is helpful…just make sure you see a uro-gynecologist

Sitting is not my friend….my nerve issue still limits my sitting no longer then 2 hours and my feet must be up…try reading the book “Healing Pelvic Pain” by Amy Stein and go to a specialist and explore your surgery options I was not able to use a pressary and I no longer feel as if my insides will fall out when I walk go and discuss with the dr. Your options and weigh the risks…I would do the surgery all over again but it is important to go the the correct dr….most of my problem after surgery was due to being misdiagnosed with what turned out to be the nerve pain which I had before the surgery I hope this helps

Hello please can you tell me a bit about the surgery you had as it's a mine field? What had prolapsed with you apparently all three can go bladder, uterus and bowel. I have a ring pessary mines uterus l think but pessary can obstruct my bowels making it hard for me to go.

Did you have any mesh fitted? I dont know much about ladies experiences after surgery. I hope you dont mind me enquiring.

I haven't had the same as you but my ring pessary 64mm with support comes down lower with bowel movements. I have to sometimes pull it out and hubby inserts it for me in the morning or sometime after. I am ok with it in otherwise as it stops the horrible dragging lump feelings. I personally think it's good to remove it occasionally really so as it doesn't rub or get too stuck there. There is alot of info on exactly where it should sit and how to insert it on line. Hubby is very practical he can fix most stuff. Hes in the building trade. After all its basically plumbing really. Just thought l would let you know it's good to make friends with your ring pessary as it supports you. Funny but true.

I hope you can continue with the ring and I so wish it would have worked for me it was about 5 years ago and I do not remember the sizes I had but I had many many fittings and many infections falling out rubbing…I will never go back my surgery 4 years ago no mesh for bladder and uteral all sewn up and have been told the connective tissue is very good however it did make my nerve issue worse..evidently when I prolapsed all at once (not over time as with most women ) it compressed my pundeal nerve so after 2 years of Pyso therapy and daily meditation and yoga I am better I still am not 100% and have excepted that I may never be but the surgery did take away the dragging my insides are going to fall out so that was a good thing ….I highly recommend that you see a pelvic pain specialist…the most of my problem was being misdiagnosed by many dr.’s it seems to me here in the states pelvic nerve issues are not as recognized as they should be sorry for the long post but I think it is important to share my personal experience to help others I hope this helps
