Hello, a new boy - actually I'm 75. Abdominal surgery 16 years ago has left me with a pain in the bum. Managing pain is the main concern.

Medication has no effect. I have customised my own seats which does help but sitting for more than a few minutes is usually my limit. I have never received a specific diagnosis - just the suggestion I have damaged nerves from abdominal surgery. I am an active walker, except when I experience a flare-up of sciatica, which aggravates the bum pain. Any advice on alleviation measures or treatment MOST welcome.

Hello. My name is Carlos and I m living in Coimbra, a city in the middle of Portugal. I suffer from pain like yours since 2014. Is a horrible situation with no clinical answer. I started in February 2020 a treatment with a technology called Tecarteraphy and the results had been fantastic. I am feeling much better (physical and psychological) since the pain has been stopping progressively. So if you live in the UK, put on an internet browser «Tecartherapy Uk» and go! Don't wait for a second more! I'm looking forward to hearing news from you... God bless you (sorry if you don't believe it)!

Hello Carlos. Thank you fort taking the time to reply to my post. I know about TENS machines but haven't heard of what you suggest so I will investigate. Nothing ventured, nothing gained!

IS NOT TENS machine! Is TECARteraphy. Ok?

Honestly, it sounds like pudendal neuralgia, this can be caused by pelvic surgery. One of the main symptoms is pain on sitting.
