Hi I have been having a lot of dragging and heavy feeling down pain. Problem with bowel and bladder I saw my GP who was concerned and she said she would refer me to a gynaecologist and would get back to me with pain relief. As I was so worried and had not heard from the Gynaecologist I paid privately to see a Gynaecologist I have never paid for private health care before I got an appointment with in a couple of days and was very pleased with the result I was told I had early stages of a prolapse and to do pelvic floor excises ( I used to do Pilates before lockdown and did not do this though lockdown) she said to go back to Pilates be very carful when I lift, the pain seems to have lifted a bit. Yesterday my doctor phoned to book me in to have a ring fitted the private consultant advised excise before having a ring fitted has any one been in a similar situation please

Pelvic floor exercises are really helpfu. I did Pilates for some years and core strengthening exercises are good but others put too much pressure on the pelvic area and can increase problems. Don’t become constipated! Good luck!

I've had my prolapse for nearly 10 years and managed it with pelvic floor exercises up until 6 months ago. Thinks suddenly worsened and I now have a pessary ring. I am working on even more concentrated pelvic flor exercises and certain yoga moves that are sensible with a prolapse. Try the Femfusion site for exercise advice. I, too, would like to avoid an operation if I can.
