Did anyone heal from botched hysterectomy/pelvic surgery fully?

Hi there. Does anyone know anybody who got damaged in a hysterectomy or other pelvic surgery that actually ever recovered fully or nearly fully? And what the causes were/what the remedies were?

Hi, I had prolapse & pelvic surgery in 2018 and suffered nerve damage although still not confirmed. I was told that I’m just unlucky. I’m on Pregabalin which helps me sleep. Other medication made sick. You have to try different ones and find one that helps you. Try & find a balance of walking, sitting & lying down. Also, Physio, although only seen one twice it helped to talk and was given exercises which helped a little. I want to be positive and everyone is different but I feel it’s a long road ahead and I hope you have a good gynaecologist that listens to you.

Hi 21Tara. Yes I was damaged during a hysterectomy front and back prolapse back in 2011. I suffer from Pudendal Neuralgia. I’m unable to sit , wear knickers or be intimate. I am busy campaigning for more research, awareness and more training for the medical profession as they know very little about the condition.
