So for about 5 days I've had this really uncomfortable sensation like there's something pushing against my rectum TMI sorry.
It's very uncomfortable, if I have a bath or go for a walk it goes but other then that I can feel it. Obviously the doctors are closed right now and I don't want to see anyone due to the risk of covid 19.
Does this sound similar to anyone, I did wonder if I have got piles.
Many thanks

Sorry to hear of your suffering. My husband has had hemmroids (piles) and several other symtoms of levator-ani syndrome, which can feel like pressure in your rectum. Something that helped my husband in the past with this feeling was Valium 5 mg 2 x a day. If you feel that your sphincter muscle is tight, 1% nifedipine is very helpful at relaxing the muscle. If you feel you do have hemmroids, you may be straining on the toilet, and if you are, theres a product that gutsense store (google this) sells called Hydo-C that really helps bowel movements to pass easily. Theres also an Ageless GI that gutsense store sells that also helps with bowel movements. And if you are constipated in any way you can try different types of magnesium supplements - Magnesium Glycinate, Magnesium Oxide are two that we take, and there is a product called Colosan that you can look into (you can find on Amazon). Its helpful to take all the vitamin Bs (sublingual is best absorbed), vitamin A, vitamin D (needs to have K-2), vitamin E, and L-Lysine is helpful for tissue health.
If they bother you enough to have them treated - my husband had them treated with infrared heat coagulation - Or IC. Theres not a lot of places that offer it, but my husband had it done, it is a painless procedure and would recommend it and ask the doctor to use the smallest scope they have should be a pediatric scope 12-15 mm. Some do this under anestisia. Just do your homework and make sure they have the small scopes. My husband had rubber band ligation and it is very painful and they use too large a scope and it gave him a fissure (tear in the rectum). Even upon exam you can ask the doctor to use a pediatric scope or if he doesn't have one then find another doctor. We call ahead and ask the nurse if the doc has a pediatric scope between 12-15mm before even going to any colorectal docs.
Just ideas to keep you safe. The anus & rectum can handle the big scope, but some people are just more sensitive and its best to play it safe.
If it is not hemmroids, then you might want to look into the book Headache in the Pelvis by Dr. Wise & Dr. Anderson. You can also call or email Dr. Wise & he is very helpful. It is a great book and helps people get through these types of pelvic pains without surgery and helping to reduce meds with therapy and relaxation. Dr. Wise also mentioned to us about Ketamine Infusions, and you can do your research on that if your interested. It is very helpful to chronic and acute pain in unknown or undiagnosed pains that are unexplainable.
Just main thing is to relax and not worry, call Dr. Wise if you have worries, he is extremely helpful. You will get through this! God Be with you, and God Bless You,
