2nd Pessarie's fitted help please.

Nonfictionreader profile image

I have been diagnosed with a Prolapse.

1st Pessarie 55 fitted on 19/3/20 fine on fitting then over next 3 day got more uncomfortable sitting feel sore and stretched.

2nd fitting on 26/3/19 next size up.repeat of previous experience + slight odour.

Will things get any easier with time, for thing to ajust. It all felt so good just after fitting I also have CMT1A a type of musular Distrophy affecting feeling and strength in hands and feet .

Ringing tomorrow to see Consultant again ASAP.

Please can someone tell me what alternatives I have and the pros and cons.

Consultant tells me surgery have 30% failure rate.

Advice on if I decide to leave well alone with no surgery and no Pessarie. What I will have to look forward to.

I also had pessary fitted.ot was extremely painful and gave bad smell and fell out.I went back and decided not to have another ring fitted.it has got no worse.I can feel the prolapse protruding down .I am already on anticoagulant etc for other health so operation would be too risky.mine has got no worse

Thanks for being up so early. Could you let me know how long ago you had you pessarie out.

My prolaspes problems started 2yrs ago. Went to Drs.4weeks ago with styptoms. As I thought it was aging. Silly Me!

I have an app. on Thursday PM. with consultant who did both fittings and another app in Sept.

I am thinking I will have P. removed then go back in Sept.I will be asking question more this time.

I'm 73. do we compare in age?

I dealt with it for 2yrs. Then it got worse,it felt as if I had a Tampax neither in or out .

The Pessarie feels similar with severe tightness and with added soreness.

I had the surgery for my prolapse (cystocele). Nothing to it - was one night only in hospital.
