Hi this is my first post having joined two weeks ago. I have a cystocele which has been there some years (im 58) since a hip replacement 2 years ago i have had varying degrees of incontinence, i have seen the women's health physio who is fab and i have pelvic floor Excercises to do, my question is should i get pain after doing them? I get pain in my lower abdomen and back, it is only low grade pain but does niggle. Any advice will be gratefully received, thankyou so much 😊

Yes it is common to get some reactive pain from doing the pelvic floor exercises.... Similarly you can get a flare-up of pain after physical therapy session which means you are working the right areas and if it gets worse or doesn't settle down then perhaps don't do it so much or do it less time

Oh thank you that's helped a lot! You never know if you're doing the right thing or causing more damage, many thanks 😊
